After watching that video unboxing on YouTube I had wished that guy had done a bit more research before making it.

One good thing that I noticed is beyond the Dragon it appears we are also getting the second Gargoyle. A stretch goal the campaign also didn't hit. Though, truth be told, I wonder if the non US sales were even counted in the campaign's posted numbers. Anyway at least the second Gargoyle is a cool extra.

Only wish I would get my darn Tracking info.. Still waiting. Argh!

I'm going to re-watch it but I'm pretty sure he said that he broke the first Gargoyle he took out. I also saw that some of the swords and axes are bent. So chances are the plastic is like the Reaper Bones line of minis.

Yeah I could see a few, but it may have been my version of the original rules (I never had the keeping player alive section for example). It seems to have been set out a little different with helpful tips for gameplay, zargon only etc throughout the rulebook.

Mostly any changes are tweaks rather than wholesale

I was super nervous when I took mine out, do be careful there are some finer parts. It looks that some of my weapons bent if they weren't lined up correctly in the tray. Should go back with some hot water probably

Yes hot water, Reaper Bones line has the same issue. Soak them then take the mini out and let it cool in the position you want.

I believe in the video he was referring to breaking the wings off of his original edition Heroquest gargoyle.

I too noticed just how warped stuff was. I hope someone like Battlefoam or someone put out some storage foam or something because those plastic trays are an accident waiting to happen. I'm half tempted to just cut up the tray to remove stuff rather than risk breaking anything.

Yeah I hope so. I want to paint mine at some point, and I don't want to be taking them out of the trays all the time

when you do the hot water reset on the mini's if you run them under cold water after the dip into boiling and hold the mini in place while doing the cold flash, they tend to take the new set better. When I have not done the cold flash with Reaper Bones they have gradually gone back to untrue.

If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I was lucky enough to get my set early (I'm based in NZ), and I have an old UK version. Post any questions I'll do my best to answer!

Post over in the Unboxing thread, we have lots of questions there!

Yeah the great thing is you can still play this using whatever ruleset you want (might need to make some notes if the cards don't reflect it of course, or print new ones!). These are based on the North American (US) rules. It would be a much bigger jump from the EU to NA rules I would think. I have been watching the video and don't see anything really new yet (other than perhaps explicit mention of drinking multiple potions but I could be wrong that might have already been there, you'd think I'd remember that little detail!) other than name replacements for removing the Warhammer stuff.

Welcome and thanks for offering to help... |_P

These minis are bendy, right? So they're not going to "break" like the stiffer plastic of the classic HeroQuest.

Congrats on getting your sets! Head on over there and see what I mean... not saying this isn't a great thread and all but it's more centralized and I can update the list of questions and answers.

Edit: oops, sorry for the double post, but you get what I Mean. Exciting! I still have to wait until Tuesday, but at this rate, maybe I won't need to make my own video?
