Virg on HQF Discord reports that HasbroPulse has updated with the pictures as seen previously on Zavvi.

He also pointed out that the text behind this card reveals other language versions in the stack...

Zavvi seems to have taken down its extra photos, but Amazon shows a picture of the Italian version...

I bet you're right and the Elven Swordsman below that... [Scratch that, I see your reply in the Discord, it's the same Archer card again... so probably a placeholder for the different language editions, I doubt there are two identical monster cards in the same pack...]

I'm fairly certain that the top and bottom cards are the same but different languages. They both show the end of the arrow in the black & white icons.

Yeah, it's just a weird case where they mixed different language cards in here. The merc deck, you can clearly tell that 3 different cards are stacked. The other cards on the right all look to be duplicates of the top card.

Another note, that I did not see until now. They changed the text for the Elven Archer. Instead of showing Attack Dice 4(1), it's now Attack Dice 4(1)*. The Asterisk is new.

MotM:

Elven archers roll 4 combat dice when attacking non-adjacent targets in their line of sight. They roll only 1 combat die attacking adjacent targets

RotDM:

*Each Elven Archer rolls 4 Attack dice against nonadjacent targets in their line of sight, and 1 Attack die against adjacent targets.

It's shorter and is a bit more helpful in specifically showing where the additional text applies to the Elven Archer stats.

I'd moreso bet it is just lazy digital marketing creation, giving no indication of versions or otherwise, just 1 duplicated card image stacked on top of each other.

The right side are all English copy & pastes of the same card. While I could see there being 3 Caltrops equipment cards, or even 3 Mysterious Flowers in the treasure deck, but definitely not 3 GK Shield Block cards. My guess would be that they created French and English media at the same time, and as you stated didn't bother to change the cards behind the English image, as only a few people in the world are ever going to say something about it.

I'm going to guess that if a French version of this image comes out, it'll be the Elven Archer card on top in French, and not the Dread Cultist we see.

Its a shame that mercenary eleves are just re scuplted human mercenaries. I hope they have some special rule. If they dont it is a big flop.

I was expecting them to be named characters that were part of the story. I suppose its still possible, and the cards just have generic names to use as mercenaries in other quests.
