Indeed it is.

I finished up a complete read-through of the European (2nd edition) rules of play AND the Remake Rulebook on Twitch. I had to do it in 2 parts since I forgot some stuff the first time. Rendering it into 1 part won't be done for a few more hours (then it's going on youtube) but if you want to listen to them, they are available right now on the HeroQuestFans Twitch videos section.

The idea behind it is to show how things have changed in the new edition from the game many people played, as well as a way to educate EU players on the new rules they will be seeing when their copies finally arrive.

I've also done a read through of the 1990 NA rules. Tip: Playback at higher speeds is possible.

Left to do for future streams:

UK 1st edition.
Japanese (translated) 1991 rules.

Thanks for the unboxing videos, Mentor. I found them useful since we got to see some missed details skipped by the earlier videos, just as you said.

First off, apologies for not providing an unboxing video. I'm way overwhelmed these days with two very young kids, and my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I've barely had time to carve away and enjoy unboxing my own set! Thanks for holding down the fort, Kurgan.

Is it me, or does anyone like the paper versions of the quest books from the original better than the glossys? I just feel the pages in the new books are more delicate. To be clear this is a very tiny observation and preference. I am not complaining at all because full color glossy is beautiful. I just felt the older ones had thicker paper stock.

Hey, duty calls! Someday they'll be the right age to play, right?

They could use some covers if you ask me. Maybe some faux vinyl, or cardstock could be used? They are held together with string stitching.

Cosmic Tavern posted a follow-up video where he ditches the plastic trays, sleeves the cards and re-organizes the stuff, showing how it all fits into the one box here

I prefer the "parchment" scroll feel to the glossy magazine feel too. I pretty much prefer everything about the old games, even though I think the one piece plastic furniture is superior I still prefer the old.

I ditched the white cardboard insert, kept the card sleeves paper, kept the plastic figure and furniture trays, combined everything in the mythic and Game system card sets into two card decks based on type, reused the sleeves and everything fits nice with the slight exception of the folded board width perhaps a quarter inch up from snug on the game box. KK and ROTWL kept separate including cards in their own boxes.

Mine is supposed to arrive today, but it was also supposed to arrive last Thursday and FedEx keeps changing the date. Here's hoping!
