Are Chaos Warriors un-dead and therefore subject to a 4 dice attack with the Spirit Blade?

Like drathe said. Also, if a comparison to the North American game system is of any use to you, the Spirit Blade artifact card description specifically states: ...When using it, use three combat dice to attack, or four combat dice if attacking an undead monster (Skeleton, Zombie, or Mummy)....
Apparently the change was made as a clarification. The p.6 picture in the English instruction manual is misleading. Also misleading is the use of Chaos Knights in the Return of the Witch Lord expansion pack. However, found in the (English) 8th Quest, The Forbidden City:

Notes

A. At the beginning of each of the Evil Wizard's turns he may pick any two undead monsters
(Skeletons, Zombies, or Mummies) from the available miniature mix,...

As any two undead monsters infers all undead, Chaos Warriors don't qualify.

Good point. However a close examination of the Chaos Sorcerer figurine shows that he definitely has the face of a skeleton yet, for example when used to represent the Witch Lord, he has 4 mind points. :?:

You are, of course, correct Daedalus I had forgotten that this was written on the artifact card.

Again though what about the Chaos Sorcerer. Is he in fact a spell casting skeleton :?:

If he's a Lich, the spirit blade should work on him. If he's supposed to be a regular dude but they use the skull head guy figure for him anyway, then spirit blade does nothing. Depends who he represents...

Fair point. Seems that the general consensus is that as long as it is scripted in the pre-quest blurb or when the character stats are told as the figure is placed on the board, then anything is possible.
