I always disliked monk characters/classes in stuff like Final Fantasy, D&D, and now HeroQuest. I agree it doesn’t seem very fitting for the setting, but I will get it anyway.

I wonder if there are certain weapons they can use that are considered “Monk” weapons, such as a staff, since the female one is holding a staff, and the male has a dagger or shortsword on his belt.

I think it's cool as it adds something different. If someone doesn't like Kung Fu in their dungeons, they just don't have to buy it. Makes me wonder when we will get Pirates, Ninjas, Desert type Warriors or Clerics.

While I was hoping for a Cleric (I figured it unlikely), I do like what I've seen of the mechanics so far. Looking forward to this one.

On Discord Virg has published several theories about the arena diorama aesthetic of some icons looks really similar to some Ogre icons like the one in the MoM ogre belts and classic AtOH ogre throne. In my opinion they are so good catchs and I would say they confirm that the new Monks seems to be in some way linked with the next expansion to be released, 99% confirming it will be Against the Ogre Horde as the rumours said.

Now the thing for me is how far will Hasbro go about changibg the origibal AtOH expansion. My guess is they would probably extend it up to 10 missions, maybe just addibg 3 solo missions to the 7 classic ones... the sole ones maybe would be played with the Dwarf, so a Female Dwarf miniature would be included in the box... and provably some dwarven furniture as advanced/suggested by Zargon on twitter much time ago. Just speculation, but I see this situation quite probable for incoming 2024.

Just curious if anyone noticed any new minis in the arena diorama besides the monks. Not saying there were any, just if anyone thought to scrutinize the pics closely.

There is at least one Rogue in GREY plastic instead of red... probably a prototype miniature, as Encarmine suggested on Discord.

I'm assuming that AH didn't let any news slip about the other rumored expansions at Gen Con? We would have heard something by now right?
