Yes. Some people love to use them (they grew on me) and have their own systems incorporating them into their homebrew rules, while others don't. Yes, many possibilities.

This reminds me of Descent (the perfected HeroQuest, in my humble opinion):

I edited the book with my custom rules, added some images in the blank pages and fixed the typos. Oh, and replaced all Morcar instances with the true name of the Dark Lord: Zargon.

Soon it will be printed into a gorgeous book.

Did you entirely create the original portrait of Morcar/Zargon of your rendition, or was it modified from found art? Looks fantastic.

The Fimir art on the cards is awesome. Is any of it drawn by you, or were all of the pictures traced/edited? I can recognize some of the elements--they are assembled very well.
