I'm sorry Games Workshop but I can't look at Age of Sigmar game set-up and see anything other than a confused mess of Warhammer 40K wannabee mini's. Warhammer fantasy was very distinct from anything else, and very classy with its masses of serried ranks. Quite beautiful really.
I just shake my head now when I walk past a GW store, I can't even bring myself to go in there to buy the admittedly excellent paints, seeing as I can get them at my local hobby store.

Me too.
I collected GW fantasy and 40K for many years but stopped cold turkey when Sigmar stuff came out. Their new models don't match my several years worth of old ones.

So how about them kruleboyz?
I could absolutely get behind using them in my replacement HeroQuest :redheart:

And I think the new Deadwalker Zombies are absolutely awesome!

Also on a sidenote, I'm very pleased we are getting the new HQ in my LFGS. We have gotten a whole lot of pre-orders (including my own) already ;)
I was afraid this would only be a kickstarter thing. I just wonder how much more we'll be getting in retail in regard to expansions etc.

Those are pretty good. But I'll bet we could easily fill the board once Old World is released. If they stay with the same 32mm scale, they can cross list the undead and some other groups. I was hoping for a return to 28mm though.

I'm very excited to see how they'll pull this off. Obviously the currently non-existing armies will receive brand new lines.
But how about stuff like orcs and undead who already have fully fledged lines?

Zombies with cleavers! If I didn't already have plenty of miniatures and they didn't cost so much I might think of getting some of those...

Find out if anyone you know has a 3D printer.
I been getting miniatures for a 50 cents to buck a piece from a friend of mine when he gets time to print stuff for me.
I have a few hundred HQ compatible minis I have gotten over the last 3 years. And quality of printers has gone up in that time and so have the minis I been getting from him.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I know several people with 3d Printers, alas they share a common problem... that the thing is still sitting in the box! The prospect of assembling and learning to use it proving to be too intimidating, apparently. I've offered to compensate for their trouble too. Maybe someday...

yeah there is a learning curve but I got lucky, Gary went into 3D printing whole hog so he got the kinks ironed out in a couple weeks.

Great news! Let's hope some more good news about expansions will materialize as LFGS orders drive further sales . . .
