New member, male 49, great site. Had mine since 1990's when it came out RRP about 20 quid with the expansions i think about 7 quid a pop.
I now have at least 5 of the original sets (perfect condition although used, i just like em) and KK, RW, Ogre, Wiz's (2 of each set but only one box for each of the expansions. I wont sell em - i like em far too much no matter how much they go up for on ebay.
Oh and i got (sick bags ready) main game, 4 expansions, battlemasters and the 2 expansions for 20 quid - about 3 months ago.

u just need to watch car boot sales, charity shops and the like. ebays overpriced.

tell em what they're worth? - are u kidding??
Ive also made a heroquest board and put pictures on photobucket under my olde inn name, also: finallytherock, within the hirst arts folder.
Got warhammer quest - in my opinion HQ beats it for simplicity and quickness. theres plenty of downloads out there for all the bits and pieces but i'd rather play HQ (but i'm no very good!!!!!)

look forward to inputting. Tom

http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff4 ... CF0391.jpg

this help? Yeah its a bloodbowl orc! sqaures are 1 inch square - its rather big so its built in 4 parts for storage

lets keep it in perspective of the room topic

Cost of this board =

5 quid (GB Pounds)for the extruded polystyrene
2 quid for the glue - any "no nails" glue
10 quid (ish) for the crystacast plaster

ok the mold is 27 quid but i can reuse it near enough infinately (well!!)

2 options of painting all the rooms - which me an my m8 are rather no bad at. Or

you saviours have made plenty of of overlay tiles which i've printed, laminated - (so beer cant ruin them) and put in the spaces.

Original HQ doors sit currently on the walls nicely but im building doors just now.

I thought about the 2 square wide corridors, which made building it easier - and a number of feedbacks to others maps suggest 2 is a bit better (instead of just 1 fighting).

It plays well enough. tried it a few times and i'll be taking it to G3 club sooner rather than later.

future intentions include making all the tiles (easy enough) and i've thoughts of putting stairs (easy enough - detatchable) in some rooms so that they can have walkways running over the corridors (a wee bit of 3d there!!)

Dungeonbowl's also an option

houserules -

i play wi loonies who split the party up (we dont wanna go that way, ok you go yerself) and try and get all the gold for themselves, leading monsters to their team mates etc. The "worst" one is Denzil - watch out for him as ive told him about your most excellent website. He's got a knack for nicking yer gold and puttin other things in yer pocket? what do you think i do if making up the boards? - probably a new thread!

we Will be making up quests and will submit for your approval.

this should probably be posted in another place so i'll sign off now.

cheers again chap (ettes)

Interesting strategy, Rock, picture good also. Mine is made from 2 sheets thick card, with downloads & scans of Advanced HQ & Warhammer Quest floor tiles, 1" squares, in the original HQ configuration. I always felt the original board was a bit small, for the minatures' footprints. Size definitely matters.

Any one of them. When you write them down and post them, then you can keep the pleasure of the game for that evening!
Make a little slice of history!
