Fimirs are replaced with FISH MEN carrying spears. Oh... kay...

And the Gargoyle now looks like a generic Demon. Meh.

it's just a KickStarter advert??? Okay, never mind. I don't care anymore.

We played this game already five years ago. At least it won't be cancelled, but it's not even a sure thing. If you just want a few more people playing the game in the future, that's the only reason to support this.

The Furniture looks perfectly respectable, about what you'd expect from all plastic remakes of the classic furniture. Yes, plastic doors, which look very much like the 3d printed versions that have been out for awhile now.

Nonetheless, it's super-legit content with extremely amazing artwork and powerful rendition. I really appreciate it from them - it shows that they really care.
The Gargoyle and the Witch Lord are super awesome. Everything looks great. Worth it !

Looks like a straight up re-release of the original, just with updated minis and artwork, which is stellar. They finally figured out how much money they were losing to eBay! Glad newbies will have a lower-cost, higher convenience way to get into the game.

Curious to see if all the quests are exactly the same. Will Phoenix do an updated version to fix the inevitable typos?!

So there's two versions... regular $100 and "Mythic"? (I'm guessing special box) for $150. November 6th IF they raise a million bucks???

So same price as the real thing on Ebay, basically...

Shipping to Canada is going to cost as much as the game itself. I really wish I still had my original set from when I was a kid.

I guess my "relief" is that they "didn't ruin it." I'm guessing the rules are similar with a few word substitutions. Fish men and Dredd instead of chaos and fimirs.

We can ignore the "Dredd" changes and assuming the scale is similar, substitute our own minis and the rules can be flexible. They seem to be all gray minis, so you'd be expected to paint it or it's going to look really boring. I think they should have put them at least in generic colors (brown for furniture, gray, white, red, green for figures). So this is catering to hardcore fans, but also content is identical to the original. Remake/Reboot instead of a new game loosely inspired by Hero Quest.

So they expect to raise $21,739.13 a day in today's market (off those niche fans) for the next two months? Good luck with that... but then I have no idea how much money Reaper gets off those kickstarters, maybe it's a lucrative market and easy to raise those kind of funds in a hurry with so little hype.

Maybe it's an elaborate hoax to drive up the Ebay market? Ha

Edit: Okay, so apparently raising that much money isn't such a big deal, but remember, those pledges still have to clear Nov 6th!

$150,000+ backed after 30min.

Sure hope this does well enough to re-release all the expansions + some new original content.

Larger board (quad-fold), furniture is all sculpt and no cardboard, and the Armory is on cards like the EU version. Everything shown is a digital mock-up at this stage though.

I wonder what those minis are going to end up looking like, because they don't look injection-molding friendly. Sad to see the game with no GW license, but I do like the new goblins at least.

Early hype has already got the total to 150k. Reaper kickstarters make around $3M (give or take a few hundred thousand), but aren't the same product. And also on Kickstarter and not...whatever this Hasbro crowdfunding page is.
