So who wants to place wagers on how long before they announce the follow-on campaign for more quest packs? Before we get our copies of this new game or after?

I’m oddly nostalgically fond of the square bases. And yet the circular bases have their own merit.

The circular bases have a certain classic HQ authenticity to them too. After all, the metal prototype models painted up for the promotional photos were on Citadel round bases.

I was planning to rebase my HQ minis onto round bases, until I realised that the extra height would make them look odd next to the furniture.

As for Kessandria, the Reaper ideas posted earlier are great, but for that classic Games Workshop look, how about:

Talisman 3rd edition Sorceress (plastic) - put her on a grey base and she doesn't even need painting


or

Warhammer 5th edition Dark Elf Sorceress (metal) - makes a good generic female Chaos Sorcerer too


or (if you have money to burn)

Tomb Kings Queen Khalida (original was metal; later released in 'Finecast' resin)

Still hoping for 3.6... wished we got to see the 4.0M expansion (tiles, questbook, big miniature? counts as a small expansion for me!)

at this point it is more than official, this is new official published HeroQuest product (even the dumb new heroes) so I feel it's more than time we moved all posts specifically referencing the rerelease to a new forum section of it's own in the HeroQuest Rooms, rather than keep it with the original HeroQuest threads in the General HeroQuest discussion.

In a year when we have the product hopefully in our hands there will be dozens of discussion threads and I don't want to see that obscure the vintage game threads.

This is a distinct new game with obvious changes, new rules, redesigned with new material added, not strictly a rerelease and deserves its own section here at the inn.

If you vote that "HasbroQuest" needs a new forum section say "aye" or "here here" or "I be with ye lads arrrr, do ye want to hear me sing an orc ballad?"

It’s still “HeroQuest” though a more recent release. Sure ... we’re missing Fimir and the “chaos” models were renamed. But that doesn’t affect the core game.
