For Reaper Mini there is the Ghoul Queen (no skull face)

Female Vampire

Dark Elf Priestess

Female Necromancer

Female Wraith

Mummy Lich

Etsy has some custom skull headed female HeroQuest resin printed figures...

Check ebay, as some figures can be out of stock but still in the wild...

WizKidz "Slaad" kind of remind me of the abominations. More lizard-like, but similar look...

Want cute, big-headed (but not funko pop) figures to more closely match the Goblins/Warlock?

Try the Bonesylvanians... ;) and Mouselings for everything else (thanks reaper).

About reaper mini bones, are they 28mm scale? They seem smaller than HQ, or maybe I'm mistaken...

They're the same "heroic" scale (which seems to be all over the place with miniatures these days). They're not really smaller than the Classic originals. Sometimes they're bigger or smaller, but many examples exist that are similar.

The GW Classic Heroquest Miniatures have the well known exaggerated Head/Hand sizes, while the Reaper Miniatures tend to have the "late 1980's body builder/supermodel" physiques. Otherwise they're pretty comparable if you are selective.

As you can see, they're almost as close as the difference between the GW (Game System, AtOH, WOM) and non-GW (EQP, BQP) style miniatures. Compare for example the Elf from the GS's head to the heads of the Elf Warriors/Archers from BQP. Obviously the Ogres and "Men at Arms" (Mercenaries) were GW designs.

Yes, there are some examples of them being "smaller" (the goblins in general are much smaller, and the Mummies are slimmer), while others are larger (the Orcs in general, for example). Reaper Ogres are way bigger (and look cool, like giants) than the HQ ogres (which look like fat, hillbilly mutant Orcs).

The "Winter Wolf" Reaper mini is comparable to the "Giant Wolf" even if its pose is not as dynamic (the Warg is even closer in terms of scale, but different size head), while the "wolf familiars" are tiny. A good judge of scale is based on price, the more expensive, the bigger (unless it's a multi-pack which will have a number in the name).

Examples below (yes, those are custom bases on the RBs, even if you trimmed them, it would be pretty similar):

Oh well let's see what the day brings.

indeed. At this point, 3.4 looks highly likely. 3.6 less so (But that figure would be a great Kessandria...).

I would say 3.6 is looking very likely now, having been watching the numbers tick up. Even if it slows down overnight whilst US sleeps. 3.8 and 4.0 will take some real momentum over last 24 hours but it has sped up massively today.

Two extra (less cool looking) Abominations unlocked, I see. Not too surprising...

They claimed in the Q&A (reading off a script) that the unmet goals won't be made available for purchase. So what we get is what we get. I guess they don't have to worry since they're just digital 3d models at this point.

I frankly don't care about the others. Sure, having more quests is always cool, but frankly I'm not convinced they would have come up with anything cooler than what the community here can produce. No offense to that epic guy. I agree that the Dread warriors isn't too much of a stretch (with the he-man swords instead of those huge maces), but beyond that I predict it won't go anywhere. We're not getting the Dragon Chess piece, sorry guys.

As cool as it can be to have a special figure for every named character in a quest, us Classic players always used the Chaos Warlock (or the Orc with the notched sword) and never worried about it.

Don't pledge your life savings to "Max out" this fundraiser, it's not worth it, even for all the money you can scalp them for on Ebay... (please don't).

Then again as others have speculated, for all we know the final Goal has ALREADY been met, and they're just pretending its going along like this, to keep us refreshing and so forth... it's part of the theater of the whole thing.

Thanks! It’s been interesting looking at the number trending. And tracking it based on number of Mythic Tier sold. There will be one last one in the final hours before everything grinds tk a close ... so who knows what will happen?

Day 2 sales were $267k and day 44 was nearly 200k.

It isn’t impossible that we see another 4610 mythic tier pledges tomorrow! This is actually the first crowdfunding I’ve participated in. It’s been ... interesting watching it. Either way I’ll have miniatures to paint. I suppose that I’ll have to make that determination on whether i want to try and remove the miniature from their bases ... given that they’re not sprue cast.

I’m oddly nostalgically fond of the square bases. And yet the circular bases have their own merit.

That Darkest Dungeon does look cool, I've looked through the campaign page quite a few times.
I would like to have that one, but after checking out the minis I thought there's no way my wife will like this one!
... and there's the fact that I'm not sure I'll ever have time for it between HeroQuest, Descent 1st Ed, Gloomhaven and everything else.

Have you played Decent 1e yet? I picked up the base set for like $30 years ago, then got all the expansions and quest book in one go for a song off gumtree a few years after that, all still sealed except the core lol. I picked up a few metal lieutenants, but missing most of them. I love the look, but my problem is length of play, my only other player ATM is my kids and one gets bored and the other takes 10 years to have a turn because he wants it to be perfect and maps are already kinda long. (Both are on the spectrum and we all have ADD so it's hard to co-ordinate lol)

It's been a bit since I busted it out though might need to again. We've been playing a bit of the Doom boardgame (the later one, although I also have the old one unplayed) and that's going ok except for the turns being drawn out... And the younger one insisting that pickups need to be turned in to a Kirby plush who is acting as a shopkeeper in a demon infested space station.

We do manage to play HQ sometimes, but I do need to spice things up with random events like bookcases falling over onto enemies to appease the youngest haha.

I have indeed played Descent 1e! It's up there on my fav games list! I got the base + all expansions, don't have any of the lieutenants, but I haven't got to RTL yet. I'm working through the main campaign + expansion campaigns. I've played a few times with my wife & mom (I am, of course, the overlord), which was tedious because neither of them are really gamers, but we we're able to leave it on the table. My best sessions are with my uncles. I usually schedule up a weekend with them once and a while and we play for about 2 days, taking breaks for all the usual stuff. I'm headed up to see them next weekend, woohoo!!!

It's definitely not a game for the lightweight gamer. Thankfully I can count on my uncles to do some hardcore dungeon diving for hours at a time. We've had some pretty epic games! Times when they thought they were doomed and then pulled it off, times where they thought they had it then I got 'em. It's been 10 months since I last played with them because of this covid crap. Not that they didn't want to play, it just took me this long to convince my wife that I'm safer hanging out with my uncles than I am going to the store....

Anyway....
Descent is AWESEOME.
