I've never heard anyone complain that HeroQuest was sexist and needs to be fixed by adding more female miniatures. Identity politics and the SJWs online have certainly been an annoyance and destructive (dare I say "chaotic") influence to most fans of nostalgic entertainment franchises for many years. Its clear to me that HeroQuest was always a product targeted at boys, but enjoyed by many girls too.
And those female fans didn't all necessarily need a female miniature to think they could play it or enjoy it. We got some official female figure options back in the early 90's in the North American region, and that's not a big deal to me. It's not out of place in the genre either (Red Sonja and Tyris Flare were around then too).

Had SJW's actually gotten to this remake, it would either be cancelled or drastically different. And if they remade the game in their own image, it would do nothing to "solve" the issues in society they are concerned about. Personally, I'd rather see such people make their own arts and entertainment than trying to cancel or remake what would otherwise just be a nostalgic re-release. But throwing in a few female zombies? No big deal ! (Where's my female Gargoyle, though)

See that? I didn't accuse HQ of being SJW-ized. My problem with the main set is mainly with the figure design, that many of the figures look like they belong in different games (not because of gender, I'm talking about the cartoon goblins and Warlock, primarily). Many of the characters look very much inspired by World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy or anime aesthetics. That doesn't mean they're bad, just not sure they're right for a remake of HeroQuest. In many areas they've done a very faithful attention to detail, and all the more jarring in those cases where they didn't. And yes, some of us are debating the merits of the new Heroes. To me it's a case of missed opportunities, but I hope they listen to feedback and make them as good as they can be, within the parameters they've established. For example I'd rather get a Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, Mystic, than Bard, Warlock and Druid. But we're modders, those of us who get the new set can make it whatever we want, just like we did with the original. SJWs can do the same (assuming they buy and play board games).

Is this a political forum? No, it's a collective for fans of a board game. I don't care how my opponent is voting or how they identify in life, only what card they're playing or what they rolled!

Or just add a tuft of fluff to the chin of the existing one. That chest under his foot would make for a cracking unboxing...
