As I understand, it's an application that simulates the HQ Game Master or Evil Wizard player, enabling one person (or a group) to play HQ with the board, pieces, cards, and dice without an actual Game Master player. The computer is the Game Master and it lets you know what you see when you open a door, or if you accidentally spring a trap, etc. I haven't actually played around with it yet, but it seems very intriguing since I can't always get a group together to play with.

There's also an editing feature which lets you edit quests or create your own quests.

very well explain ! I will add that it is not a videogame, but just a tool to play HQ in solo (or with a group without a game master). The real default of the soft is that you have to tell to the program where you move your heroes. (for the traps). There are no sound triggers too. otherwise, you can add all elements you want (monsters, spells, treasures, tiles) and the editor is very well done.

I have tested the program alone. It's very great. It's like a real game master. I have played all the quests from kellar's keep like this, and I will certainly do all later.

PS : The program rolls the dices too for monsters. Very cool too ! Sincerely try this... It's great ! I'm working on a advanced version of the soft, I will post soon the download link for the demo.

FIVE YEAR BUMP, as I have still found issues. I did run the program as admin, and the installer freezes upon getting to installing the cursed CAXTON BOLD. I have tried various compatibility modes and none have worked so far.

That's strange. I have installed the HQGM on machines with Windows Xp, Win7 and Win10 without any problems. It used to give me the "C:Windows/Fonts/Caxton Bold $$A cannot create that file" but if I run the installer as administrator, its all good.

Oddly enough, I found the 2.6 version on some general download website and it worked. Very excited to play. Is there supposed to be a dice function? While playing, when moving around I can go literally anywhere.

Wait, nevermind, it's supposed to be played in cooperation with the actual set. Will get that downstairs eventually.

Thanks for the tip about this. Me and my daughter played this yesterday all day. We used the character sheets, dice, and cards from the game but let the computer be our board. We had a great time even though the wife got mad we spent the day "playing games"
