There's some awesome props in that game, ruleswise.
They've been presented by Malcadon, along with some awesome crossover rule stuff and some houserules for DS he did.
If the price is right to you and everything is complete, it's a pretty sweet deal.

I find the minis of Dragon Strike in incredibly bad taste and worse sculpting quality, even for the time, but that's me.
The rules of that game are pretty good and the boards give you a lot of possibilities.

What? Bad taste? Get out of here man. The Stone Giant, Sorcerer, Litch and Dragon are freaking awesome. The others really kind of suck though.

It's a matter of taste.
The dragon looks like Augsburger Puppenkiste, though...
The Orcs are the worst miniatures ever anywhere. Oh, and that troll... my god, the troll...
But I did wanna leave more positive factors of the game in that last post of mine. |_P

I have no interest in the DS items,I already have a couple. Its the 30 hq minis I'd be after but I already have copious amounts of those, but for the price it's not bad at all.Basically almost a complete set of minis from the base game.
I see a :
Chaos warlock
Chaos knights
Set of heroes
Orcs
Goblins
Fimir
Complete gargoyle.
It's a great deal for anybody that needs spares or is missing pieces.

Somewhere I saw this done with skull candles. When the candle is burned down it is just a pile of wax, which is relatively easy to sculpt on top of a skull.

I bought candles from Zealot to go no my second sorceror's table.
Has resigned from the forum and would delete his account if he could.

Heck yeah that's a decent price for 30 hq figures, but $26 for shipping puts that up to $50 to rich for me,For those commons.

Ugh! I didn't notice the shipping cost. I hate when people bump shipping costs up like that.

Here is an idea... tell them to reduce shipping cost to $5 and only ship the figures, and toss out the rest. Or tell them to relist the rest.

Absolutely that is the best way to go,figures only and dump the rest.
Then that brings the hq figure price down to about $1 a piece. Now that is a deal I haven't seen in 15 years...lol

Oh my Lord, the troll. What was that guy thinking when he sculpted that one? Sheesh. Its not even a crappy design, its super creepy though.

I don't think the process can even be called "sculpting".
I don't even wanna post a picture here for the casual reader to see what we're on about...
I've seen *play-doh* piles from horses that would have made better miniatures.

LOL. If you look back though at TSR's entire product line at the time, including their D&D books, you can see most of their stuff is kind of that style like the troll and orcs. I feel like TSR rushed a poorly made game to the market in order to play catch up to Milton Bradley and cash in on the huge success of HQ. I could be wrong, but DS is a half ass game at best. Its like a bunch of thrown together rules and minis. Now the game boards are super awesome for sure. I think they are the best thing about DS. Certainly some of the best art TSR was putting out at the time.

Of course, TSR was always like a year or two late to the party with everything there at the end. Magic the Gathering, they screwed up there, Dragon Strike, miniatures for D&D, pretty much everything.
