Where to get the Ogre Horde game

Postby FainFlynn » March 2nd, 2015, 8:38 pm

This is probably a really stupid question, but here it goes.

I've seen this expansion on eBay for 3-400 bucks. Does anyone know ANY place to get it cheaper? By a lot?

Thanks!

Don't look for a complete set. Look for the minis, include foreigen sellers. Print out the books and tiles.
Have patience. It's the prime virtue on Ebay.
Have a look ;)

3-400 seems a bit steep. Although if you're looking for a complete set with non-painted miniatures, all tiles and box; you should expect around $175 (maybe a bit more).
AtOH isn't the rarest of the expansion packs afterall.

Besides that - Like Big Bene said - have patience and keep looking. They pop up every week on eBay; sometimes with a "fair" buy-it-now price ("fair" to be read as "not insanely overpriced compared to the resell value").

Great advice guys, thank you. I printed out the books at work and will keep an eye out for figures.

I agree with others; when I looked at the barbarian quests, I couldn't figure out how they can win the solo ones. Definitely hard!

In general, it's cheaper to print your own, and buy proxy minis. Unless you're desperate for originals.

This in spades.
I have a mountain of miniatures that can proxy. I have a printer so all tiles and the quest book can be printed.
At the cost of these expansions even if I had them I wouldn't be able to bring myself to open the box...

Exactly, this is what I will do.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get proxy minis?

I recommend these old Fantasy Warlord Ogres available for a great price from SHQ Miniatures http://www.shqminiatures.co.uk/Ranges/25mmFantasy/fantasymain.php?UID=20150303132339194.250.6.178

Reaper Bones are a good alternative, cheap, easy to mod and paint.
Myself I got some warhammer ogres secondhand.

I hear ya - I got my hands on AtOH quite a while back with the ogres still in their sprues and most tiles not punched (the box was opened though). I still haven't assembled the ogres.

It will happen though once I make my way to this quest pack... if that ever happens.
