Poor quality tiles

I was considering using cardboard from a cereal box. Put spray adhesive on the printed side of the box and place the tile sheet on top. After its dry, use a razor knife to cut them out. I did somethimg similar w homemade spike tiles i drew as a kid. They turned out just as sturdy as the original tiles, and even made the same noise when i drop them on the game board.

Most cereal boxes are a just a tad bit too flimsy for me. It's a few millimeters thick cardboard and feels like the base game tiles. Just gotta be creative when looking at stuff.
