Hello friends!

Thank you all for your guidance and suggestions. I will make sure to amend my original post, as it looks a but out of place and, in addition, I zoom in too much, since I cannot read the posts any other way, so the pictures look like giant billboards!

But thanks for the warm welcome!

Well, I am always hungry to see new painted HQ minis!! So, Welcome!
Anyway, I would suggest to post only 1 picture for each mini and a group photo. If you wish to post front/rear, you can edit and post a single picture featuring both sides, but posting too many pictures of the same figure (taken from each angle) it seems some kind of spam to me (unless they are some kind of masterpiece as the ones painted by RemyT :mrgreen: ).
Since pics from the gallery are also shown at random in out homepage, the risks are the following:
- comments related to the same miniature split under several different pictures;
- increasing chance that your pictures are seen by others but not taking their interest since they have already seen the same figure from another angle (so they will not click again on yours);
- reducing chances for other pictures to be featured in the random gallery showcase.
Just my 2 cents :2cents: ;)

Thanking you both for your kind words!

@Evil Frog Wizard, it's good to be back, fellow barbarian!

@Daedalus, thank you! I have indeed, and I'm going to create a topic with my endeavours shortly.

In the last two-three years, I've been bettering myself, in painting, and now that I feel confident that I'll be able to give my miniatures the attention they deserve, I'll be painting stuff more frequently.

I've recently made a post in my Instagram account, explaining that Hero Quest miniatures are my 'go-to' models, when I get a painter's block, I want to paint something from a simpler time, or I just want a change of scenery.

Hero Quest was the board game that got me into miniature painting and it holds a special place in my heart, It's my 'comfort food', so to speak, when things get different, awkward or difficult. :)

Always feel free to drop in and say hello. With so many GW painting opportunities, I wonder if you've decided to paint up one of your classic Hero Quests sets. It's a lot to take on.

Hello (again)!

Post by The Evil Wizard » September 6th, 2026, 2:03 pm

Hello everyone!

I'm returning to the forums, as HQ is an itch that needs to be scratched every so often. Not sure if there are still people posting here, but I was hoping to continue from where I left, i.e., actually paint my full copy of HQ, Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord.

I'm a Greek guy living in Scotland in the last 8 years, I got 2 full versions of the original Hero Quest, as well as a couple incomplete ones, and I've recently stepped up my painting game.

I love painting miniatures (specifically Warhammer stuff) and Hero Quest is my go-to place, when I get a painter's block or want to unwind.

Good to be here, as I've said previously 'Ye Olde Inn' is a place that I've known for MANY years, but I've only recently got the time, space and free time in my life, that would allow me to dedicate myself to this specific aspect of the hobby. :D
