The Chaos Sasquatch!

These hairy dwellers in the forests are a gentler version of their bigger, angrier cousins the Yeti, who dwell in the mountains and colder climates. Rarely seen by mortal eyes, the Sasquatch often seeks solitude and shuns the glances of man. That is, until the alchemists of Chaos sought out and captured, tortured, and transformed these peaceful giants into bloodthirsty monsters. A powerful foe, the Chaos Sasquatch is difficult to overcome in single combat. Now he wants nothing less than to stomp his Big Foot on the faces of Heroes in his way.


[This monster is identical to a Mummy in terms of stats, with the following exceptions...

This monster is mad! Randomly he will attack other monsters if they are closer to him than the Heroes. On Zargon's turn, roll one white die for each one at the beginning of his turn. If a black shield is rolled, he has to target and attack another monster (who defends normally).

If the attack is successful (does damage), the Sasquatch has gone "rogue" and will attack anything (preferring monsters if they are closer than heroes).

Exceptions: he will not attack another Sasquatch, Zombi, or Mutant OR the one who summoned him (evil alchemists). If these are the only other monsters, Zargon does not need to roll the extra white die beforehand.

Exception to the exception (!):
If he has taken damage (wounded but not killed), there is a chance he can attack Sasquatches, Zombis or Mutants, EVEN the one who summoned him.

It is up to Zargon whether the other monsters attack and kill a rogue Sasquatch, but a "boss" will always do this, to save himself.]

Chaos Mutant

Distantly related to insects, these creatures were manipulated in the secret labs of Chaos alchemists to be larger and crueler, to the point where they have become an abomination. They wield spears but also the claws and jaws inherent to their species. The process by which these creatures mature is secret, but in horrific circumstances, they have been witnessed to gruesomely burst forth from the bodies of other slain monsters and attack unwary Heroes.

Ogre Mercenary

The Ogre Horde was a major threat to the Empire, due to the meddling of Zargon's minion Festral. Following their defeat at the hands of the brave Heroes, some hungry Ogres have gone into business for themselves...


[The Ogre Mercenary is identical to the Ogre Warrior from Against the Ogre Horde, except that he has a fixed body point total of 3 and 2 mind points.
Cost: 200 gold coins
Only one OM can be hired per Quest party.
He takes up 2 "Mercenary Slots" (if the quest limits the number of mercs each Hero can hire).
Move: 6
Attack: 5
Defend: 5
Body: 3
Mind: 2

He rolls WHITE SHIELDS to defend in battle, and is armed with a large wooden club decorated with metal studs.

When he kills the last visible enemy of a group encountered, he automatically regains 1 lost Body Point (yes, you guess the reason why), unless it was a group consisting only of Undead ("Chaos creatures" not counting Chaos Warriors).

The cost to retain a surviving OM for another quest is full price.]
[Additional Musings: If he goes through a Quest or two without killing anyone, he may either leave the party voluntarily or "go rogue" and attack the Heroes like a standard Ogre Warrior monster.]

Here's a Dragon...

Powerful reptilian creatures so rare in these times, they have been relegated to myth and legend. Traditionally these were thought to be guardian monsters. In the East they took residence near sacred bodies of water, while in the West, their more evil counterparts protected large hoards of treasure. Dragons possess great strength, durability, can often fly, and spew out deadly flames. Only a party of true Heroes can hope to overcome such a foe, and few have lived to tell the tale.

Giant Spider (see Card below)

A monstrous version of the common arachnid, these wild creatures are dangerous, but sought after by alchemists for their silk, which can be refined into garments said to be as strong as armor, while retaining the lightness of cloth. Adventurers are cautioned when encountering these beasts, who, while fragile, retain a venomous bite and can trap their victims in a web.
