Sorcerer's Table: Candle Sticks restoration / fix

So this is surely a common problem out there... the tips of the candles, those plastic "flames" are often broken on the Sorcerer's Table furniture. Does it make sense that those candles are still burning? Who cares, let's fix them, right? It was actually easier than I thought. So instead of ordering new ones or trying to come up with some 3D print, all it took was a little putty.

The HQ set we had from childhood had both flames broken off (perhaps intentionally) but was otherwise intact. I find another example one candle was bent but not completely broken off and a little super glue solved that problem. The next issue was the "flame" itself. It was completely gone of course.

Now I have never used green stuff or sculpy or whatever for this sort of thing, but I did have some vellajo acrylic Plastic Putty, so I put a little tuft of it (exacto knife helped) on there and it looks pretty good. Its so small that it appears to be the right shape, and a little acrylic paint (and probably varnish) will be added so it will match the intact "flame." Since unlike the figure minis that are constantly being picked up by their weapons, this is likely to stay since the only damage potential really is shifting around inside the box between gaming sessions.

Anybody else have any success with this sort of thing?

You're not a true HeroQuester until you've achieved the honour of discovering the eternally burning candle sticks. It's like a right of passage. But once stubbed, they'll never burn again.

Just think... if the box had been deeper, the quest wouldn't of been so hard.
