Now - if I were FORCED to talk about nipples (you messed up freaks) - I would say he has
hard little points for nipples, as his skin is probably dried and tight.

Either that, or he would have Arnold nipples like in the Conan movies, as he might be some
strong, buff guy with a skeletal head. NO MASK!

I remind everyone once again that the miniature with the skull mask is NOT the Witch Lord. It a Chaos Sorcerer used to represent the Witch Lord. Just like he is not Sir Ragnar either. Or IS he?!?

And come on... Who else would the person on the tomb be if not the guy inside the tomb? His lover?

That figure is explicitly meant to represent any named character that needs representing. It is named for its looks - a chaos sorcerer.
In the German version, if I remember correctly, and no, I can't be bothered to look it up, that figure is repeatedly referred to as "der Hexer", "die Figur des Hexers" and so on.
"Der Hexer" is literally the translation for "the Witch-lord", so there is a source for confusion through translation.

Translation and dubbing in Germany has always been and will always be (through industry fascism, as I call it) an annoyingly and embarassingly mistake-by-design-laden unworthy-of-consumption population-stupefying (and I'm NOT exaggerating on this part!) and consumers'-mind-limiting source of bourgeoise bullshit keeping down the quality of the source material from other languages forever.
We "translated" the MOVIE TITLE "Captain America: Winter Soldier" into "The Return of the First Avenger". That's one of my favorite recent examples.
"Zootopia" became "Zoomania" in condescending the consumer into not knowing what a Utopia ("Utopie" in German, everybody DOES know what that is), thus twisting the whole PURPOSE and MEANING of the pun "Zootopia" into something very CONTRASTING. It boggles the mind.

I never understood why they replace not the language but the meaning during "translation". Why do they do that? Translating, for the German market, from English to English, but replacing the meaning and content with different meaning and content? And, in the go, killing any double meaning or subtlety that may have been in the original. Like the zootopia example that just didn't need any reworking because it perfectly works in German: they made something that doesn't work in German, only in English, and they reverted the meaning. And they do that all the time. Knightkrawler, as linguist, can you in any way explain that?

I am getting so angry when looking german translations from english that we're watching in english now.

From French to German they are less aggressive: they use German words, but if you know french like i do then you recognize certain speech patterns that just stay as they are in the translation. That's the right way of doing it.
