Female adventurers minis

Postby Irish Wolf » Monday July 10th, 2017 12:35pm

Trying to find some minis to use with HeroQuest so I thought I would give otherworld miniatures a try. I wanted to get some female adventurers as some of the ladies have joined our games so I ordered a female version of each hero to see what they are like, also want to add some different classes to the game. Its hard to match the proportions of the HQ minis but here is a quick comparison for you. The female dwarf is a bit disappointing looks like a little child lol.

The HQ dwarf is really horrible. There literally doesn't exist a single dwarf miniature in the same style. Even GW dwarfs from the same era looks vastly different.

I bought a substitute for the Female Barbarian off of Reaper Minis.

Looking to get the Female Elf and, like you, female equivalents to the other player minis.

Here are some good female dwarves.

Just want to provide a plug on Zealot Miniatures new Twisting Catacomb kickstarter that features (4) HQ female adventures.

They look awesome and fit the parts of HQ Barbarian, Elf, Dwarf, and Wizard perfectly.

In my opinion both series of figures (Twisting Catacombs or Reaper) are cool but doesn't fit at all the Heroquest style and size.
If this doesn't matter for you they are ok but if you wish to preserve the original feeling, try to get some Citadel figures, there are a lot of female figures that are very cool and in perfect armony with the original Heroquest figures.
