So... this project is still alive, very much so, but I've been so busy making a living to survive I've been unable to comment on it. The art has changed drastically following my development over the past two years with other projects - but Project Chthonic has been re-named Project GEAS and is going to be the first world dungeon crawler. A gigantic RPG with similarities to Heroquest but far beyond it in size and scope. You can check out what has been happening with it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625758761048662/

At the Project GEAS facebook group. There is far too much to tell here: the essential vein of Geas is to remain true to the spirit of Heroquest, but advance it in dozens of new ways with a new system, monster AI, playability over long distance, solo, and just hopefully blow the doors off what is possible without getting into the anything is possible realm and complexity of D&D.

Snowed under atm, but hoping to get back onto it in full time in a months time or so.

Just an update: over the last 2 years I've been slowly attempting to gain experience with each aspect required to create a table top RPG from scratch including coins, maps, rooms, terrains, vectors, boards - manufacturing, production, design - and have now written a 212 page corebook detailing a new system and dozens of new mechanics. It is still very much in development - but I hope to release a demo pack mid way through the year. I am currently editing the corebook draft and creating a basic prototype of the game so I can test the theories in simulated playtests to refine it before releasing a beta.

The spirit of the game has remained very much like Heroquest - but I think, broadens the essentials on many fronts, but you guys can be the judge when the demo comes out. Once I have the game in hand, I can begin crafting the first of dozens of quests. Cheers

Well - I had some made -

there are four of them that go together to make the Heroquest board shape (with a tolerance for one altered square) are dry/wet erasable, 27x18" and fold up into a nice compact stack -

These are my prototypes for testing GEAS - though I need to get new ones as the board design has changed drastically. They're not cheap because they're one off - but if you live in the United States you can pm me.

4 x 27x18" Sewer Sections and 4 x 27x18" Heroquest-Morphic Dungeonscapes will be up soon. I just have to create front-end artwork for the packages.

Have you ever tried to make the corridors in another color, so it can contrast better with the rooms?

Cheers Cartmann2, a labour of love for sure and I'm working on new ones. In regards to the intense 'brightness' of the design, that was pointed out to me, but I'd already ordered these - in fact these are about 5 incarnations deep from what I am working on now. I did release a Kickstarter set that had the room colours subdued and the corridors more grey which was less cartoony and more realistic. They'll be going up on my site soon too.
