SOLO MODE by Gravaillon (101 Officiel Quests !!!)

Hi to all Heroquest Fans ! I'm Gravaillon (I have made the remaster of HeroQuest with Richard (allias HeroQuest France), and also the big HQV2 (in french).
I come here to give you now my solo paper mode for HeroQuest (avalon Hill version) : just 15 cards to print, 2 leaflets and that's it ! With that you can play the 14 quests from the game system.
This module offers you to :
- Randomly generate all the dungeon : the quest never play twice the same way !
- No need of a zargon player.
- Very simple rules
- Innovative trap system.
- Solo or Coopérative play.
All expansions are already made (101 quests !) but not translated yet (because it is originally in french). The rest will come soon if any player are interested in.
I have translated in english with chat gpt so i'm conscious that there will be lots of mistakes in it. Don't hesitate to signal me via MP those so I can correct them for future update.

kellar's keep has been translated but not added yet to the pack.
If someone play this solo mode, tell me what you think about it please.
If no one interested in this mode, I will not translate the rest of the expansions : it's a hard work.

Hi all !
All the expansions have been added to this solo mode, so you can now play all of the 101 official quests !
Enjoy and some mini expansions will come next (city cards, optional rules, gems for equipment, and more). All those mini add ons will be optionnal, so add them only if you want to.

I've been reading over your rules and I hope I can give it a try when I have a free weekend.

It looks like a good set up for solo or Zargonless play and very easily adaptable for people's homebrew quests. Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged by the lack of feedback so far.

Thanks a lot for you answer ! You have understand that this mode allow to add easily all of your customize material, and it's also very easy to write a quest for this mode (much easier than the original game, because you don't have to make a map). Even a zargon player can use this mode to discover the dungeon at the same time than the heroes : it's fun too !

Hello! I've read through your system and it looks quite intuitive. I especially appreciate the simplicity and how malleable the idea is. It's pretty genius how the number of non-objective room cards could be decreased in order to make Quests shorter and easier.

I checked out your blog. Would it be possible to see your other HQ related projects translated in the future? The Town event cards seem very interesting. I google-translated some of them and they seem really wacky and fun additions. Kind remind me of Gloomhaven and its City deck.

Anyway, thanks for your work! I'm looking forward to testing the solo rules sometime when we would have just have Zargon and one player. With these, I could play a Hero for a change

More printer friendly versions of the cards could be cool.

I just finished printing and sleeving the Solo Deck cards from the expansions. Looking forward to what you do with the Jungles of Delthrak.
