Nice work Derfel! I too like the second Skaven better. Matches the simple design of the original HQ icons. I also agree that vertical weapons would be best for them, as the horizontal hides the bottom of their faces. An essential detail for quickly identifying the icons on the map.

Are you making three separate henchmen icons, or just one with weapon icons to add to them?

I'm glad you like them! I also prefer the second version skaven, thanks.

I'm going to add three separate henchmen plus a "blank" one (in case of a master who doesn't like to distinguish them), same goes with the skavens; of course "blank" icons will come useful when I release my "ranks" Icon Pack, because of the possibility to add any weapon on the icons (I will be adding skaven weapons to the "ranks" Icon Pack).

If I don't get any harsh criticism I'll release the AHQ Icon Pack update pretty soon, I guess.

The second version Skaven are better in my opinion.
I don't even think you need a mini icon for every one of those Skaven weapon, just one of them, or better yet, the longsword mini icon you already have made.
The weapons the AHQ Skaven have, all are hand weapons (in different designs), which can be used (at least I think so) diagonally, so, yeah, a diagonal mini icon would be better suited, like drathe said.
Maybe there's even room for the shield mini icon, which the AHQ Skaven come with.

Yep, I'll add the shields too (in my "ranks" Icon Pack, not in the AHQ one).
I don't see any problem in adding all those weapons, users can ignore or use them, it's up to them, I'm just trying to give as many options as the miniatures do.

well, one thing can certainly be said now...no one should have ever want of an icon
that isn't there. I think you really did cover almost every sort of icon for every sort of

That's exactly what I'd like to hear from you, and the reason why I'm not saying it: I'd like to know what symbols are comprehensible and what not.
