I prefer the term hoarder. But yes, not yet a fanatic.

Might also explain the crazy dual-bordered frame around his picture on the European character cards. That's probably why his image was removed from the American character cards as it causes confusion.

That also explains why he knows so much about Morcars plans!

It's a mystery...
:?:
You're right, on the GM screen he looks like commanding the monsters.
Illustrations on the hero cards and in the booklets indicate he's mentor.

In the marvel special comic, He is clearly Mentor, and Morcar/Zargon is depicted as a strange suppervillain figure, somewhat reminescent to Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, his face invisible in the shadow of a hood.
And now, on this poster, the chaos sorcerer figure is sayed to represent Morcar/Zargon, which it never does when used in actual quests.

Perhaps one of them is Morcar, the other Zargon? Or the different names (and costumes) are just a another aspect of Mentor's mental disorder.
Have a look ;)

Or several different artists just rendered what they felt like at different times and didn't give a *lemony goodness* about continuity!!

The closest product I can think of is the Monster Gallery from the Hero Quest Sticker Collection, but it doesn't have stats.

Is there a way to get the wall poster shown in the first post?
I've seen it only on this post and never seen on ebay or other forum. Where is it coming from?

The Advanced Quest Wall Chart holds peculiarities other than the Chaos Sorcerer/Morcar tag. The featured miniatures are the same prototypes featured in WD 113. But more interesting (to me) is the description for the Dwarf: "A doughty and fearful warrior with a keen eye for secret doors and traps." [(Also found on the UK box description.) -edit]

It seems the prototype game included a different rule for finding or opening secret doors. Perhaps only the Dwarf automatically found or opened secret doors in that game. My guess is other Heroes would have needed to roll a combat die. In the case of failure, a Genie spell cast to open a door might have actually come in handy for a Wizard or Elf. Same goes for the prototype Fire of Wrath card found in the HQ commercial.

Of lesser note, the WoM art found on the reverse side has been altered [(like the box) from the original Les Edwards art. -edit] The lightning explosion of Advanced Quest Wall Poster is an orange color, not blue-white. I can't say I approve of the choice.

Finally found a copy of the wall chart.
Haven't seen that anywhere else apart from here.
Will be a nice addition.
