I wonder what the retail sales figures (barring the initial ones) will end up looking like.
I checked their last two quarterly investor presentations; CTRL+F only found one mention of the game on the February report, and the sales breakdowns were grouped with the rest of "Hasbro Gaming".

If Heroquest is going to thrive, it needs to get seen on store shelves, otherwise people are only going to find it if they specifically search for it.
And so far, I've not seen it on shelves.

They own Dungeons and Dragons, and Legacy of Sorasil (HeroQuest II) was partially transparently D&D inspired... so it would have been fitting had they given us a Knight (Paladin, actually), Mystic, Ranger, and Cleric. In any case, I agree, exclusives, limited runs, underestimating the fanbase, and not talking to the fan base with regular updates (not just jokes and teases) is a mistake.

The fault is not with the fans or the IP, it's with the marketing strategy and whoever is making those decisions. So if the franchise "dies" again, it will be because of that, not because we were unwilling to spend money on a thing we love.

Update email from Bigbadtoystore that the Knight pre-orders are shipping soon.

(EDIT)
Two more quick emails from BBTS that the Knights have arrived, and that they have processed my order and payment.

IT'S HAPPENING! :D

So, never mind Orc Bards... we now officially are saying there are Orc PALADINS too? Love to have those dudes show up for a noble quest in my village and eat someone's dog (or kid)!

Also, next to them... is that a HALF orc? Meaning we're officially saying human-orc interbreeding is a thing in the HQ21 universe? I mean, I love me some big greenskin babes in other fantasy sources but that really doesn't fit with the HQ tone I grew up with...

Half-orcs were a thing in 3rd ed Warhammer, when HQ was first made, even if they never made it into the game.

Well, FedEx shipped my Return to Dark Tower Kickstarter from Orlando, FL last Thursday and I received it today.

My Guardian Knights order, on the other hand, was received at the FedEx facility in Minnesota last Friday, but hasn't moved from there for the last three days (at least according to the tracking info). We'll see if it gets here by Thursday...
