Keep defending the rear guard against the Doomguard and only fell in a fiery conflagration cast at him by Morcar himself. So Kineron must have been a Guardian Knight of the king, right? Does the new RotWL change his name in the epilogue?

I plan on at least attempting to get these new characters, but I hope they don't break the game too badly. Only time will tell, I suppose.

His name is the same, if I recall correctly. Ah, so you could possibly re-recreate this epic "cutscene" with one of the new figures. Or these Knights are the successors to "those we lost" in the Emperor'sKing's daring escape.

Good point about the shield, I was thinking they might make the dwarf and barbarian useless, but that doesn't seem like the case and makes the knight more defensive.

Yeah, this is how they'll fraggle up the game. Dungeons and Dragons stuff, in this case infinite bloat and power creep. All in the name of being able to constantly generate new product for cash because they know the fanboys will buy it all. I'm over D&D at this point and got rid of everything I have for it, but got into this HeroQuest reboot in part because of the simplicity.... sigh

As long as the new things continue to be optional and he core game system remains simple and customizable, I don’t think this will be a problem. Since the game system and expansions are already proven to be true to the originals, I hope people who don’t like the new Hero packs or expansions will just not buy them and keep enjoying the core game.
The best thing about HeroQuest is the lifelong unlocks on the imagination.

The new things don't bother me to much. I just hope they don't make the original characters weak.

Yeah my thought is if they release some OP characters (we already know the full details of all the new characters) they can always "upgrade" the existing heroes.

Examples: BQP raises the Barbarian's max BP by 2 and his Mind Points by 1 (as of Quest 7, if I recall correctly). The EQP has the potential to do the same for the Elf (the Elven Bracers are never actually used in the main campaign, but they could easily be inserted as a reward or into one of the many empty treasure chests). Similar options for the Dwarf and Wizard could be done in those unreleased/unfinished quest packs.

We don't know other than what they've been teasing over and over again which is the remake of the Barbarian Quest Pack (the Frozen Horror) which itself contains a female Barbarian and four types of Mercenaries (see the rest of the in for details on the classic version).

They've implied several times that they're going both into the back catalog for HeroQuest releases as well as new material, so that implies more will come out after these and the very title "hero collection" implies more than one. Judging by how quickly it has been selling out, I would expect more, but as usual they're tight lipped about it.
