Amazingly enough, I called my FNGS, and they had some! If anyone is in NJ, DM me, and I will share who has them. I don't think they'd ship it out, so you have to be local.

I will hold my Gamestop order and see if that ships eventually. But, I bought one to open and one to save.

I backed the Mythic Tier on day one, but didn't even know the Commander of the Guardian Knights set existed until a few weeks ago, which was already too late. You would think that is something Hasbro would have notified backers about directly, not just through social media.

I have to imagine this set will get a larger release, especially considering the debacle with the initial release and many unhappy customers. Is there any reason why Hasbro wouldn't produce more of these? Was it stated somewhere that this would be a limited edition? I'm certainly not going to pay eBay prices, so I'll just be patient.

Yeah, it's like they didn't want to spend any money on marketing...

I asked Gamestop about this and they said "oh that just meant it would be exclusive to Gamestop for a limited time..." (paraphrase of what they told me) meaning it was an early access kind of thing but afterward other retailers would have it.

Hopefully that was accurate! After all, the Guardian Knights was NOT a crowdfunded product.

In all seriousness, how does someone get 10 of these to sell on Ebay? Which is what I just saw, going for about 275 a piece. Hasbro gets a cut of some of this bullshit, I'm convinced.

Scalpers... they are a fact of life for "limited edition collector-targeted geeky entertainment products." DON'T pay these guys. Pressure Hasbro to simply increase the supply.

That's why Hasbro needs to focus on HeroQuest as a retail product rather than the above. Hopefully they learn from this experience. Please share your complaints with the companies responsible in a constructive way. And yes, that includes telling them what you think on social media, not just letters sent to the customer service department.
