At a surface level I would say "yeah, why buy two copies?" But this isn't like a DVD-double dip (where the bare bones release comes out and then later they release it again with bonus features). Even if it were Prophecy of Telor + Rogar's Hall, it's not that anyone would be forced to buy it (Rogar's Hall is still online, anyone can print it for free). The typos are for Zargon's eyes only... the players never see them, so it's more a quality of life improvement than a rehash that everyone would "need" to run out and get if they already had the Pledge version (unless you just wanted to support the franchise with your dollars instead of lining the pockets of another scalper of course).
I don't see the downside in this case. If it's the same, you don't have to buy a second copy. (then again superfan collectors do this all the time... a copy to "collect" and one to "play with").
I support the re-release of all the Mythic exclusives, just as I do the Guardian Knight. I didn't buy any of this stuff with the assumption I was investing in a once in a lifetime collectible (even so, no amount of re-releases diminish the actual rarity of the pledge stuff... they are still completely unique... value of this stuff is based on demand and perceived rarity yes, but a reprint is not the same thing as the original, is it, even if the only physical difference is the date stamp or serial number). Many more players can have the chance to play these quests with a retail version than ever could from the Mythic set that came out 16 months ago.
At the very least I'd expect it to have typos fixed, are you saying you wouldn't buy that? (that's for Zargon, the players don't see that stuff because the GM will autocorrect as he plays, though it is certainly nicer if he doesn't have to do that extra oversight... the quest pack was written for experienced Zargons anyway).
Regarding what new Assets could be included with Prophecy of Telor, I posted
here awhile back. If they wanted to include some new cards (some of these were in the Mythic box and some never had actual cards): (Spoilers!)
Talisman of Lore & Elixir of Life (from the game system, but they could include alternate artwork I suppose)
Rod of Telekinesis & Ring of Fortitude (IF it is no longer being included with Game System boxes)
Spell Scrolls: Rock Skin, Heal Body (these were part of Kellar's Keep and Return of the Witch Lord, no reason why these would be left out, since not everyone would own everything)
Spell Scrolls: Lightning Bolt & Water of Healing (no cards existed)
Spell Scrolls including Tempest (KK), Ball of Flame (KK/ROTWL), Courage (KK/ROTWL), Fire of Wrath (KK/ROTWL), Sleep (KK) and Genie (KK) are mentioned
in the closing "Artifact Reference" but I'm not sure where you would find or use them in the quest. Presumably you'd use the "Dread" spell deck at various times.
Alchemist Shop: Potion of Restoration and Potion of Battle (previously from KK/ROTWL), and Potion of Healing and Potion of Magic (previously had no cards).
So 10-18 cards?
Minis of some of the Dread Sorcerer encounters for this quest? If all this were in a box by itself it would be one of the smaller packs, which I don't object to, but I know there are fans concerned that "nobody" will want to buy something that isn't on par with the Frozen Horror or Mage of the Mirror boxes in terms of content. Then again the Guardian Knight and Rogue Heir were massively successful and popular, despite being just a couple of minis and a few cards in a box.
There is that one Quest where you're given a large room that could have a new room tile to go with it.
