Yes. No.
Complete or downloaded from somewhere, but giving someone 20 bucks just for the quest book seems... no, no :D

I'm just curious, but if you wanted them, why didn't you pledge mythic tier?

Edit: Let me guess, it was the shipping...

Waiting for a German variant.

If it doesn't come, I be happy with just high resolution scans.

I have enough models and tiles and game boards for 5… I just need the rules. In beautiful Format.

This is my situation too. Well, except the German bit. I don’t need any new Heroquest gaming material but I am of course interested in the Steve Baker quest book.

Pity my German isn't good enough to do a proper translation!

It goes without saying that the forums aren't going to allow us to distribute high resolution scans of the new material even if we wanted to.

Reading through the quests (don't worry I am Morcar, sorry "Zargon") the story line is a fun one with well connected quests and some cool use of the board. I am looking forward to eventually playing through with my kids, who after rescuing Sir Ragnar still need to learn how work as a team.

Small errors like that are easier to work around than some of the issues we find in say the BQP (something tells me those will be copied more or less straight as well, perhaps to serve nostalgia and speed up release time, but that's just a wild hunch).

These are brand new quests, so I'd like to know more too...

What is the error in Quest 3 of the original game system? I was looking for it but I couldn't see any trap errors in either, and they do look the same. We're talking about the Orc Warlord Quest right?

The error is that the chest itself should be trapped.

There is no mechanic in the NA rules requiring the hero to stand on the square adjacent to a Treasure Chest to open it, hence putting a trap on that square is pointless. The Hero will step into the room, search for treasure and get the contents safely, then leave without even having to search for traps! This error was introduced in the North American version, it doesn't exist in the EU versions of the same quest as I explain here. It's a recurring issue because the map makers seem to forget this rule on occasion, when they clearly intended to make the chest itself a trap, plus they left the chest unmarked while the original version had it contain gold.

Had they gone back and compared the EU edition they would have seen it, but instead they just copied the old error.

Oh OK I see what you mean. I understand that rule, but I image that a novice player will unknowingly move all the way up to the treasure chest to search and fall into the trap. I just didn't see it as an error

If I forgot to say it, welcome to the forums!

Agree to disagree, but by this point in the campaign the hero players have been exposed to both Treasure chests and Treasure chests with traps on them. There's literally no point in putting a trap on an adjacent square like this even to (teach them a lesson somehow). I'd say the same thing about other instances of this issue like in BQP or the other Stephen Baker quest in which it appears.

Looking at the original version shows me the original intention and that the glitch occurred in the translation process from EU to NA format. The original "B" (which is shaped like a big circle resembling a hole) was in the exact spot where they put the pit trap in the new version. The means of damage the trap uses is not identified (usually its explicitly stated, ex: poison gas, needle, etc). So I can image the writer thinking they were going to update it and just goofed up (maybe were working late and planned to come back to it but never did before it was printed). Human error. Even if they just wanted to make it easier by removing the trap, they still should have noted what was in the chest.
