metal dice don't quite roll right

With plastic dice and some stone dice you can get a good roll. That is to say the dice move about flip flopping as it is cast on the table and it is anyone's guess what will roll out. Metal dice just kind of thud in place and rarely do you see it gambol about the table. Metal dice make it easier for an unscrupulous player to game the dice rolls.

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Did you have any issues with putting things in the shopping cart?

I went on the site to have a look around, registered, etc... But when I tried to load the cart I kept getting an error that the page did not translate properly. Even tried just going through the German interface, same problem.

Anything similar for you?

Yeah, google translate won't work.

It was super easy though. I just clicked the green button for the items I wanted, then after the last one I used the PayPal button. Super easy. I had kept a window open in the background to copy/paste words into for translation, but ended up not needing it.

If you're in the US keep an eye out for a field where you can select your state. I don't know that it is needed at all, but I changed it to my state (iowa) from the default APO (I think).

It was also cheaper than listed, it automatically subtracted the VAT when I paid.

Shipping was apparently fast. I ordered the day I posted and got them Thursday. He sent me an e-mail stating they had shipped.

Was the site I used, instead of the older shopping-guru one.

I'll have to have another look when I get a chance (and have some cash)... My dice money went to picking up Castle Ravenloft when I couldn't get the site to work...*Chuckle*...

Ohhhh, yellow. A new colour!

I got five sets of white, and one each of blue, black, green, orange, and purple back around 2007/8, and they are fantastic.

Looks like more pennies being spent then...

For those better at probability than I...

Dice with only one symbol per face are easy to compare. But how do we compare them with multi-symbol faces?

For example, is a black die (four skulls) better or worse in the attack than a purple (two skulls and a double-skull)?

Obviously the black is more likley to do *some* damage, but the purple capable of more damage...

In long term average, they do the same.
However, the double skull dice is less reliable, but has a chance to hit harder. This is nice to give some weapons kind of a character.

It gets interesting if you combine two or three of them. I wouldn't present it here because you get tables as result and tables are not well presentable.
