hi guys, sorry for being late in this interesting topics !

I have made a modular boardgame here http://heroquest-reloaded.blogspot.com/ ... html#links

Image

and it's ready to print...

I think that modular boardgame are much interesting than the classical. I have put all the elements of my modular boardgame in an editor, which allow you to create quests in a very easy way.

But I have thought about having a classic boardgame wich will be various... The only way I have find, is to have multiple classic boards like them :

- Dungeon classic
- Ruins
- Caverns/Caves
- Icy
- Village
- City
- Forest
- Castle
- Citadel
- Monster Lair
- Crypt
- Catacombs

Yes, it's a lot. I have also thinking about making them divided in 4 parts (more simple to print and a little modular). That could be great, so you could mix them each other. How about a forest/city board or a crypt/catacomb board ?

I can make all of these boards if enough people are interested in, so tell me.
If you have other ideas for basic themes of the boards tell me too.
Waiting for answers...

I've added a few things on quite a while ago. Its under the heroquest additions...tiles sections

They're certainly not fantastic by any means. I have no programs to do anything fancy. The best I can put out
is the grassy field with island...down at the bottom of the page linked above. I used MS PowerPoint and the
Paint accessory on windows to create it. That's the extent of my art programs, really.

Otherwise, I'd love to join in in making some new tiles and stuff. Oh well.

I just saw your work... The tiles are very shematic, but it's not the important I think... The additional rules are very complete and very useful... I enjoy them a lot ! It is really a great work, and we can, sure, work together... I make the graphic work, you create the systems !

That works for me, grav. I actually have tweaked the added rules a bit, so don't do anything yet.
I'll send you the tweaked rules in a PM in a few days.
I also have a couple of others you might like. Most use the added rules already there...for climbing and
swimming and such...but are neat additions for tiles. One is a wooded trail that ends in a cave...could be
an interesting outdoor piece that leads into a dungeon
(though I remember someone today railing about the use of dungeons and how they didn't like it - I somewhat
agree with what they said.)

perhaps we could do some mini-boardgames with your tiles (forest, swamps,...etc) that fit on the classic boardgame, but can cover almost 5 or 6 entire rooms... This could be great... I wait for your post and return to work on my against the ogre remastered edition...

Heroic Maps are quite useful. They come with a gridded format option designed with Hero Quest use in mind. There are a plethora of choices--don't get to use that word too often.
