Yes, I'd do the same.
Add some monsters worth 4 BP and a potion of healing, or monsters worth 8 BP and two potions. Something like that.

I once made monster group cards so that I don't have to think about it when the opportunity arises.

All of those are: green for Heroes with 2 dice, yellow on top for Heroes with 3 dice, add the red for Heroes with 4 dice, add the purple one for heroes with 5 dice. Or Heroes with 4 dice and 4 Mercenaries.

Except for the boss monster, there you choose only the appropriate color, you don't add them.

I am a bit confused about the monster group cards. Do you always use them after half the doors are open or do you have to draw these cards from somewhere as the DM? And what exactly do you mean with heroes with two dice, three dice, 4 dice?

Those cards are part of my evil Wizard deck. You don't get to see them too often.

For your case, I'd just prepare a dozen or so monster groups and place one of them on the exterior tile that you use.

Heroes with two dice have 2 white dice in attack and 2 white dice in Defense except for the Barbarian.

Heroes with three dice have three attack and three Defense.

And so on.

I usually count them one higher than they are if they have 4 Mercenaries, or boatloads of potions in their pockets.

I got to work on two more of Boris minis yesterday and today. Can't wait for the litchmyre dungeon minis to arrive!

Here are the two so far... I never know when to stop but I think they might be finished. Maybe I ll add another wash to the liche jacket.

Your outdoor board and scenery, as well as these models, would be PERFECT for the Heroquest Novels-based solo quest pack I’ve written (but not completed). I’ll have to make some spooky trees of my own soon. This thread may have pushed that project further up my hobby to-do list

Thanks Pancho! I had a blast painting these. I got a couple more minis from Boris' Dark Arts Studio comission, I really like them, I gonna start with them this week.

Your solo quest sounds exciting! Yeah the tree making was fun too! If you happen to have the store "Nanu Nana" in the UK, they sell these little deco branches and tiny woodstumps right now, which I used to make the trees.
