Tiles by Torilen

Postby torilen » June 25th, 2010, 9:10 am

Here are some tile selections that I've been working on.
These things are SUPER simple - not very attractive.
They serve their purpose, though - they offer you tiles for gaming, and the rules that go with them and all.
I'm working on more - if anyone likes these, make sure to let me know, either on here or through a PM,
and I'll post more as I finish them. Probably will do up a stream/river setting next, with rules for swimming,
and then a rocky setting, a cliff setting, and maybe a temple/church setting.
Any other suggestions/requests - just let me know.

Enjoy all.

Edited: See below for Festival Grounds Revised tiles

Tavern/inn commons room, inn rooms, and forest setting have been deleted because...well, they
just sucked. Feel free to check out the new thread, however, for updated, better version:

okay - so, I figured out that you can cut and paste between powerpoint and the windows paint
program, and it comes out FAIRLY okay.
I did this tile - hopefully it works out okay for you. I doubt I'll print it off any time soon to test it,
being that I have no reason to really. If anyone sees a problem with it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - let
me know with a reply here, so I can fix it.

OH - by the way, this is an introduction to my swimming rules - I'll be posting those under the rules
addition section soon.

Grassy Field with Pond can now be found at the link provided in the original post for this thread.

I would make swimming rules:

1) you must remove any metal based armor/weapons, because they will make you sink. Good reason to keep a dagger on you.
2) 1d3 of movement.
3) combat as normal in the water - you can fight and stay above water at the same time - the monster you fight will have his own restrictions/abilities
4) going under water would be the drown rules - a skull means you start to drown, and the depth you dive must be measured as move squares also.

for the Atlantian - he can breathe in water, gets 3 move die, gets 6 attack and 6 defense - he's in his element! I might even let him attack any two adjacent enemies per turn...

...of course, he would have to have some enemy to give him a run for this uberness in water - like a Sea Serpent?

I'll think on changing it - you do have a point about the armor - I forgot about that part of the swimming.
I've been working with a couple of other rules systems along with HQ, and I get confused about which
ones I've finished and which ones still need tweaking. ha.

NEW GRASSY FIELD WITH POND
- This one has an entire Pond, not just some water on the side of the tile - a two tile set

Also here - Grassy shore with Island - This could really provide some fun - put an enemy on
the island with some sort of range weapon and a treasure that the heroes have to get to - and
there you go.

Enjoy.

EDIT: New Grassy Field With Pond updated in previous post.

Here is a revised version of the Festival Grounds that I posted quite a while ago.

This version is in color, with a few additions, and is much better quality.

Enjoy.

I've moved all of my tiles to place a lot of my additions and expansions into one place.
The link for that new place is in the first post of this thread.

I just added two more tiles. A forest setting, and one with a series of cliff faces.

Enjoy.
