Thanks a lot, DullandRusty! That is very nice of you to say! :)

And make no mistake: This is uncharacteristically fast for me -- my normal pace when painting is positively glacial ;)

Alright, time for another update! The last couple of days have been quite a slog, so I felt the need to reward myself. So I've started to paint "the big guy":

A few touchups are still needed here and there, especially on the wings. But anyway, let me know what you think! :)

That's getting boring ;), as the answer is always the same: splendid and awesome! :D

That turned out great! I really like how you blended the orange and red gradually on his sword and the attention to the shadows.

Oh, then I'll just make an attempt at painting a bit more shoddily in the future -- y'know, just to keep things interesting ;)

@ Weltenlauefer: Thanks! :)

@ devarionarias: The blending on the sword was created by using an inverted version of this tutorial over at "Tale of Painters", an approach that has served me really well several times now.

So the Gargoyle is now complete:

He actually came out a bit different from what I had planned: I originally wanted him to look quite a bit more similar to the McVey paintjob shown on the HQ box (and on the back of the quest book). But he's grown on me over the last couple of days, and I am pretty happy with the finished model now -- definitely an improvement over my last paintjob from the mid-90s (even though the difference doesn't look quite as stark in the photo as it does in real life):

As always, let me know what you think! :)
