The problem is my wording because it's difficult to wrap in words...
the thing is, if i were a mini manufacturer, i'd go "fraggle scale! The measurements my customers get are base diameter and actual height to the top of the head."

Well regardless, here's the Yeti replacement.
A bit bigger than I would have liked.
But it can work.
The barbarian is about 1 1/4 " (not including the sword)
The yeti is 2"

That would be quite the "hug".

Quite the hug indeed.
Considering the source of the deadly bearhug is roughly two inches instead of 1 1/4.
Still for $5 for the Yeti and female barbarian total, I'd say they're great replacements, despite the Yeti's slightly increased size.

Very nice proxy for the money. You will run into issues with the larger base size in the group Quests of the Frozen Horror. Most can be handled by repositioning the figures, but you'll need to substitute new monsters for the Yetis in the outer corridor of Quest 6.

It's simply too big for the corridors on a regular HQ board.
