There's a link to my gallery in my signature / underneath this post.
Start from the back. A lot of older pictures have been deleted at the hosting service.
Youtube is a blessing to this hobby.

EDIT: Don't bother with my gallery. All the pictures have gone.
Fortunately, it's a project anyway, to take new pictures of everything and bring them into some kind of posting order.

Rough pass from the other day.
Gonna go back and touch it up/fix it using some of the methods you all described.

Personally, I think the zombie is the hardest model to paint.

The first thing I do is try to remove all flashing. The mold lines drive me up the wall.
Then I wash them with warm soapy water, pat them dry let them sit for 24 hours.
Then I undercoat/ prime them again I let them sit 24 hours. I use a krylon plastic primer white, grey or black.
Then I start painting darkest to light thin layers.Acrylic paints I buy from wal mart $2 a bottle folk art paints.
Lastly I use a matte finish clear coat.

If stripping models to repaint them,I let them sit in a jar of simple green for 24 hours. Then scrub with tooth brush and wooden toothpick for cracks.wash with warm soapy water.

I ain't the best painter in here but I'm okay.
