I dont have the time or cash to paint them.
I took the barbarian down to Bunnings Hardware and compared it to the paint cards to match as close as possible to the original miniature colour. Got a $15 sample tin of the right colour.
The executioner (barbarian with axe) was painted with red that had built in primer, but was brighter red than needed. It still looks bright, even though I painted it with the new red.
My wife had a grey primer, which works well to match the Chaos Warrior grey. Then I paint over them with the red.
This article in this very forum has a good colour red to get. I couldnt find it, so I thought outside the box.
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1967I have used permanent marker on some of my undead, to add character.
Also put black eyes for the good Necromancer minions, red eyes for all the evil undead.
Will put some pics up to demonstrate. That's about as close as I am going to get to painting them.
Oh, the Knight of the Steel Legion was a Chaos Warrior from Battlemasters I guess. I changed him to make him more knightish, less Chaos.
The Gladiator has a merc arm on the right, as he is meant to have a hand with a gun, same as the monk. Cant remember what they are called though.
I enjoy making my own miniatures. The Thief is a modified goblin with some *heatshrink* made to look like a cowl and cloak. Another hero I like to play.
I am seriously thinking of taking a Chaos Warrior and putting it on the horse body I have. Or maybe a Barbarian would sit better.
