Pigments and Crayons, i don't like them for play minis - if you touch them, you rub it off... or you fixate it with the risk of moving the pigment...
well...

For one thing they had been good:

:D Not exactly master painting :D Brown Pigment and Glue, used as dirt. :D

If you know how to really use it, then you definitely know more about it than me. :)
(if you want me to remove the pic from your thread, just say so)

Nope. Everyone's invited to post ideas, critique, discussion, even debate, and pictures here. I'd like this to be a discussion thread more than it is now. Derail the thread of the king of derailers, I can bring it back on track with new pictures. All's fair.
I mean, if I post something I'm proud(ish) of, get two reactions and then I'm the next one posting again, it feels a little hollow sometimes... I know not everyone is interested in the painting aspect of this hobby, but I gladly answer questions, and generally discuss painting here. The Rookery has been used for that before and I love that thread.

I do like that tank. Orkish, right? Far better OSL than I have managed and I really like dirt and dust effects, which I'll use the pigments for.
For things like the clothes and bones of the undead, for bases, on furniture and doors, and so on.
I've never heard of pigments being used with glue... There are a few other ways, however.
Bring them on with water or isopropyl alcohol, which will evaporate, and then fix it with varnish and/or Artists' Fixierspray. Visiting an idee store works wonders for creativity, I tell you.
Or mix it with pigment fixer and bring it on.
Or put down pigment fixer heavily and then the pigment, in several "layers" to achieve an accumulated grime effect.
Either way I'll do it, I won't do it on places where the grabby greasy hands of my Single Malt sipping, cheese in chilli dipping friends grope them.

As announced, here are some pictures of the mini I painted for mako-heart for this year's Christmas Exchange.
Anderas, you'll notice some freehand there.

These pics are smaller than my fingernails. Could you enlarge them and make the black frame smaller?

Yeah, one of these days I'm gonna get around to doing that. Sorry, didn't even notice. Was the first time editing on Irfanview, seems I didn't save what I did and then didn't watch out after posting.
You seem to have freakishly big fingernails...

Replaced pictures in the gallery with new ones.
So, again, my Ogre for mako-heart for the Christmas Exchange 2015.
The problems taking pictures continue. I'll be sure to have a light blue fading into offwhite background printed out at some point. Jesus, this stuff has to be difficult, right.

Just bumping this.
Maybe it's because of the weekend, this discouraging lack of feedback...

This ogre looks amazing. Like most of your minis, I'd be happy if mine were half as good!
The colors go well together. Don't you usually use more contrast, or am I just not seeing it? The free hand it's excellent.
