well ill be hundred percent honest. that I haven't exactly come up with a totally unique idea. ive seen a few versions of the hasslefree hawk figure which ive used. as a barbarian variation. so no real coincidence. ive kind of taken a few ideas ive seen around the internet to create this dude. of which I claim no ownership to any of the ideas. im shamelessly in debt to those creators that make the great stuff that inspires me

Coincidence?
Great paint job, any tips on how to do the stubble?
ive never seen that image before. great picture!
as for stubble. its easy, with more people being aware what washes and glazes are these days makes it easier to convey how something is painted.
I simply got the mid range tone for my skin and mixed it with a little grey. it did turn out a little lighter than I had hoped for. but still it looks good enough.
so with that mixture just water it down to about 30% paint 70% water. and glaze it where the stubble goes. (I do keep a paintless brush handy at this point if I need to drain any excess away rapidly) as you want to keep that paint layer pretty subtle or you will just end up with a grey chin.

anyways ive put this up on my blog with my entire journey to creating him. take a read (ive included a few others barbarians to so that if anyone ever searches they can see others great creations too)
but ill throw the piccies here too
