Not an extension of rules or game mechanics or even game genre...
But a way for people to start collecting the miniatures GW offers for comparatively little money (and that's comparing only to their own prices).
A gateway into collecting, so to speak.
Always think about what a company wants to sell you in the first place, if you're not sure about a product*.
For GW, it's not about selling their game systems. These are one-off sales per customer at best.
Their interest lies in the collectors' market. They want to sell you many many minis, some for 100 quid apiece.
So my fear and prejudice is that the new WQ might not be good because effort is not put into it in the right measure.
Just enough to lure boardgamers into the collectors' market.
I could be wrong. But that doesn't make the actual material I see less shitty.
