Anyone in the US looking to pick up some decent HeroQuest compatible alternative game boards should check out the eBay auction below:

There are a few extra HeroQuest bits and pieces, but the two Double-sided Dragon Strike boards are the prize here. Unfortunately for me, this auction only ships to the US and for a mere $10. Right now, it has 23 hours left and is only at $0.99! To each their own, but I personally wouldn't go for more than $5 a board. Any higher and you're better off finding the whole kit and caboodle. The entire game goes for $25 on average plus shipping.

Ironically enough, Indiana is considered a launching point for many products. There are many products that are released here months before they go into main-stream. Sometimes products are sold here that don't quite make the cut, and never go into main-stream production. We are considered a statistic mid-point and the theory goes that if something sells well here, it will do well in most places.

Looks like someone picked up a few bits and the two Dragon Strike Boards for $2.25, $12.25 with shipping. Nice deal.

I was just told tonight from a gamer friend of mine the thought HeroQuest was being released, and while we were talking he looked it up and Drangon Strike not HeroQuest is to be released in less than 1 1/2 months from now. will check on boardgamegeeks.com to verify that.

This thread just reminded me that I wanted to get me some Dragon Strike (for the boards and minis), I just bought one on ebay for BIN $30 + $15 shipping. I'm looking forward to creating in-town quests.
