Here are some more corrections to the [non-Phoenix] NA Conversion of the Japanese Game System (entitled "Rise of the Chaos god") on this page (quests 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11).

See an earlier post in the thread you're reading now for a fix to quest 14.

Changes are subtle. Some were missing a monster or two, while others had slightly different furniture placement. These were created by looking back at the original scans. Thanks to HispaZargon for inspiring me to look into these!

Summary of corrections:

Quest 1: Treasure Chest A moved to its original position in the Altar (Sorcerer's table) room.

Quest 2: Missing Orc and Fimir (oops, I mean "Monolizard") restored to corner room. Fireplace/Secret Door position adjusted to match original.

Quest 3: Missing Skeleton restored to center passage.

Quest 4: Missing Chaos Warrior (or rather "Dark Warrior") moved to original position in room C.

Quest 11: Missing Chaos Warrior ("Dark Warrior") restored to Alchemist's Bench room.

Quest 14: Missing door restored to western center passage so room A is accessible. Missing Chaos Warrior restored to northwestern secret passage.

More fixes to the Japanese Game System NA conversions, less important than the others but I am sharing them anyway (I am using the 1.01pre1 2014 version of HeroScribe with the All in One icon pack installed from heroscribe.org)...

Quest 6: Aesthetic update. Mark A relocated to inside the room it affects because it seems more natural. Rotated the Tomb to be painstakingly the same as the Japanese original scan.

Quest 7: Aesthetic update. Replaced the single block squares that are in front of doors or inside rooms with the neat looking piles of "rubble" (YeOldeInn style) since the idea is to use the NA fallen block trap tile.

Quest 8: Aesthetic update. Used HeroScribe's "Advanced HeroQuest" trap tile known as "untraceable death zone" to represent the hatchmark shaded area and restored the delta symbols (dark arrow in various) and the placement of Mark A.

Quest 9: Aesthetic update. Replaced single block squares with crosses on them with the more pleasing rubble icons.

Quest 14: Previously re-added the missing door to the mummy room allowing access to Mark A again and re-added missing Chaos Warrior. Second aesthetic update using the Japanese key icon from various to complement Mark C as in the original.

I didn't see a need to update 10, 12 or 13, but I may re-create those just for the sake of completeness to have both the XMLs and the PDFs for my own use.

Can't believe the corner issue was as simple as a right mouse click! Wow... anyway here's some more (non-Phoenix) Japanese GS quests revised in the NA style fixed according to comparisons with the original scans.

Quest 5: Aesthetic update. Used the Zone of Death Advanced Hero Quest tile for the magic rooms to look a little nicer than just rock.

Quest 12: Aesthetic update. Adjusted the mirrored corner room to match the original scan.

If I end up doing the last couple I may just release the XMLs in a pack. Keep in mind all I've done is take the hard work of others and tweak it slightly based on the original scans. Some references and things will only make sense in the context of the quest books released on the "rise of the chaos god" thread.

Here is an alternate version of Quest 8 using a different cross hatched tile (Dungeons & Dragons the Fantasy Board Game, Monster Tile) instead. See what you think looks better:
