US/EU Photoshop Quest Templates (Updated)

Postby Decipher » November 25th, 2017, 3:42 am

[The following 3 posts were merged on 2/16/18. -edit]

Hi all, so I went back and update my original US Quest template version for Photoshop with all new text boxes, threw in the correct fonts and worked on spacing issues. I also made a brand new European version too. Both are now way more user friendly. Be sure to install the fonts first before opening the templates. Enjoy.

That's nice. Now you have also put the good template online, not only the pink one. :D

Fantastic templates. Thanks for contributing these.

Typo in the NA version which may propagate once the template is used: "Wondering" vs "Wandering" Monster.

Thanks, I was searching for a USA layout too (though I prefer the EU style)!
I noticed the font used in the EU version for the NOTES is not correct, it should be Aldine but in the template the ITCClearface is used instead.
Also.. where is that Chaos Sorcerer icon coming from? It is the best I've seen till now, I would like to add it in my Heroscribe too. Do you have it?

This is an amazing template. Thank you! Barbarian Bless.

Any chance there are door icons we can use to add to the maps?

I believe this was intended to have HeroScribe maps imported into it. This was so that you could get your maps to look like the original ones from the booklets.

These are ideal.
I’m planning on creating a hybrid booklet taking aspects from both US and UK versions. Hopefully by the time I’m done it will be a definitive guide

I've recently tried my hand at creating custom quests, but I'm having some trouble with this template. Has anyone tried using it in GIMP? It seems to load fine, but none of the existing text seems to be editable. GIMP appears to be treating those layers as images rather than text.

I use Paint.Net but I had to install a special plugin/extension to properly edit PSD (PhotoShop) image files. You may need to do the same for your paint program of choice.
