Hi all first post :D , i first played heroquest back when it came out (i feel old now ), me and my partner and daughter now play both heroquest and advanced heroquest, as well as warhammer ( i have skaven the other half has high elves). Back on topic, we have all the expansions for both games and would like a go at designing new quests. Any ideas on how to make the quests we design fair and not too hard for the characters?

Hi Medic!

Welcome to the Ye Olde Inn Forum. I hope you don't mind, but I'll address this question over at Phoenix' Quest Builder Club so that other members over there may benefit from the discussion as well since it's a very important topic.

Hey Medic,
drathe is just being modest! What he's trying to say is he wrote a damn good article entitled "Designing Quests [Balancing and ideas to Spice up the Mix]" over at Phoenix's discussion board. It's well worth the read and filled with many good ideas. Check it out here http://heroquest.informe.com/viewtopic.php?p=1596#1596

And welcome to the forum!

Modest my twees! I wrote that post after Medic asked about balancing Quests for the sole purpose of answering that question. Then I expanded on it as I tend to ramble on... and on... and on...

Thanks for adding the direct link to the post. I forgot about doing that by the end of my rambling.
