Poison Enemies. What do you think?

Postby Pugahla_272 » February 5th, 2011, 10:26 am

I have made a poison monster tell me what you think

Attack 0
Defense 3
6 movement
4 mind
1 body point

It has a poison aura around it that is a 3x3 square, it inflicts 1 body point of damage per turn to the hero that is in the radius.
I put it as 0 attack because it does 1 bp of damage for anyone who is near enough.

Instead of aura it could be farting out poison
breathing out poison

would it be defendable?

When would the damage be delt? On Zargon's or the Hero's Turn? Before or after movement?

No it cannot be defendable;

I think the damage should be delt, either:

when the hero moves into range
when the monster moves close enough that the hero is in range
as if the monster is attacking

I think it should be whichever comes first and then carry on doing that one

'Before or after movement?' is a very good question

I think if you are doing the 'monter attacking' it woulde be when ever evil wizard wants to attack, so before or after movement

I think if you are doing 'when the hero gets in range' it would be either:

after they attack, so if they attck before or after moving
as soon as they come into range

I think if you are doing the 'when the monster moves close enough that the hero is in range' it should be as soon as the monster is in range

But when does 1BP get lost? As soon as the monster moves into range, and then every one of Morcar's turns after?

Sounds similar to the death mist, I can remember the rules for that, but it wasn't as dangerous as this aura thing.

Ya that's immediately what I was thinking.
You could also use one of the mist pieces from the expansions, that are much larger - like the purple hands in the haze that are so popular with the girls for some reason. Of course, then it can't move along the hallways very much...
Or, to simulate a haze, you could blow some kind of heavy, distinctly scented smoke on the square where it appears. Hmmm. I wonder what you could possibly use for a heavy smoke?

it's in Return of the Bitch King; also known as 'return of a-hole'.

I think it moves along the hallway wherever it likes, only it can't go in rooms, and does something like one body point of damage whenever it touches someone. It cannot be dissipated except by tempest or genie. I could be off quite a bit though.

You're not far out there, Flesh, the book states " The shaded corridor is haunted by the Death Mist. It cannot be attacked, only destroyed by Tempest Spell, or Spirit Blade. Moves 6 squares, catches all heroes in that move, not monsters". So, if it can't be attacked, where do the spell & Blade come in?
Me, I go for a Loud Noise. How about this fellow.
