The Ghoul

The Ghoul

It is a devourer of human flesh and meat, though usually it prefers it already dead since some days.

Everywhere we have zombies, we also can have Ghouls as well.

They look normally grey or something other not-living color even though they probably live.

For my feeling,

Well, that's just a feeling, and just mine do you hear?

For my feeling a Ghoul would be perfect to close the gap between Mummy and Zombie, stat-wise. Zombies are almost-skeletons, not at all more dangerous, so the undead figure range has a gap to close.

What would you propose as statline for Ghouls, and what's your special rule?

I added ghouls to Return of the Witch Lord, thinking that it needs another undead monster that hits harder than a skeleton or zombie. Like you said, the undead monsters have a bit of a gap between those two, and the Mummy.
Being sort of alive, you can also give ghouls better movement and mind stats.
I think I went with something like Move 8, Attack 3, Defend 3, Body 2, Mind 1.

In a lot of fantasy, ghouls have sharp claws that paralyze for a certain amount of time
if you get scratched. Then they can feed on you. Something about "the cold of the grave
seeps into your bones, chills your soul, and you freeze, unable to move."

That being said, here are the stats I came up with for a ghoul several years ago:
Ghoul
Move: 6 AD: 3 DD: 3 Body: 2 Mind: 0
Special: If attack causes at least 1 point of damage, character is paralyzed until
the Player can roll 5 or 6 on one red die.
