You are the Assassin, highly trained to be a fast, agile and lethal dealer of your own brand of justice. What you do may not be entirely legal but it is entirely necessary. Somebody needs to be doing it to maintain an uncorrupt society and most have neither the physical or psychological capacity required for such a responsibility. In combat you are capable of bringing down any enemy with a single well placed strike and can evade enemy attacks that would undoubtedly kill other heroes. The key to achieving success lies in knowing when to use brute force and when to use more subtle but potentially deadly tactics.

Assassin

Race: Human. Class: Assassin. Equipment: Five Knives, Hidden Blade.

  • When you're attacked in melee roll a dice for every skull the attacker rolled before you defend, if any of them are white shields you Evade the attack.

  • If you roll all skulls in a melee attack you land a Deathstrike that kills the target outright if they don't roll enough shields to block the attack.

  • You can attack a directly adjacent target with the Hidden Blade using one attack dice and counting a black shield as a hit (not a skull), a second Hidden Blade allows you to make two such attacks if you move no more than half rate.

  • You fail a jump on a black shield instead of a skull and successfully make a long jump on either shield.

  • You are unable to use two handed melee weapons or any type of shield or helmet and can only wear light armour.

Veteran
  • You can throw two Knives if you don't move.
  • You can Evade throwing attacks.
  • You can Deathstrike with throwing attacks.
  • If you successfully Evade a melee attack and all of the dice on the Evade roll are white shields you immediately make a Counter Attack, the attacker defends against a hit equal to the number of white shields on the Evade roll.
Master
  • You can throw two Knives if you move no more than half rate.
  • You can Evade ranged attacks.
  • You can Deathstrike with ranged attacks.
  • If you successfully Evade a melee attack and none of the dice on the Evade roll are skulls you immediately make a Counter Attack, the attacker defends against a hit equal to the number of white shields on the Evade roll, the Counter Attack is Deathstrike if all of the dice on the Evade roll were white shields.
Legend
  • You can throw three Knives if you don't move.
  • You successfully Evade if no skulls are rolled on the Evasion role.
  • You cause a potential Deathstrike whenever an attack wounds the target and no white shields were rolled on the attack role.
  • If you successfully Evade a melee attack and none of the dice on the Evade roll are black shields you immediately make a Counter Attack, the attacker defends against a hit equal to the number of white shields on the Evade roll, the Counter Attack is Deathstrike.


You are the Witcher, a versatile adventurer who has dedicated their life to hunting down and destroying all forms of evil magic. You have magic of your own at your disposal to aid you in this task but this prevents you from being able to use shields, helmets and most large weapons. However, you also have access to some unique magical abilities gained through a career spent learning how to deal with magic and using your own to fight against it, such as sensing the pressence of nearby evil magicians and your body and souls have learned how to how to more effectively absorb the magic contained within potions.

  • You are a level 1 Magician and choose one spell set after the Elf and after the Wizard chooses their second set but before they choose their third.

  • The EWP must tell the player whenever the Witcher is in the same room or corridor as a door that leads to a room or corridor containing an enemy Magician.

  • You can reroll one dice at the cost of 1MP whenever you're attacking or defending against a Demon or Undead enemy and when you're attacking or defending against an enemy Magician or rolling because of a hostile spell you can reroll one dice without cost or reroll all of them at the cost of 1MP.

  • Roll a combat dice whenever you drink a Potion, on a white shield you regain your choice of 1BP or 1MP but this can't take you above your maximum of either and on a black shield you gain your choice of 1BP or 1MP that can take you above your normal maximum.

  • You are unable to use two handed melee weapons or any type of Shield or Helmet or wear Heavy Armour.

Veteran
  • You choose a second spell set at the same time as your first and take one random spell.
  • Roll a combat dice whenever you're a target of a hostile spell, on a white shield you ignore the spell's effects and on a black shield the spell is negated before it can affect anyone, the enemy Magician keeps the spell and their action (which can't be used to cast a the same spell again).
  • Roll an additional combat dice whenever you drink a Potion, on a skull you roll one extra dice the next time you make a melee attack and on a white shield you roll one extra dice the next time you defend.
Master
  • You choose a second spell set same time as your first and take two random spells.
  • You can make one random Potion before each Quest.
  • Roll a combat dice whenever you're either a target of a hostile spell or a hostile spell is cast in the same room or corridor, on a white shield you ignore the spell's effects and on a black shield the spell is negated before it can affect anyone, the enemy Magician loses their action but keeps the spell, this replaces the Veteran skill.
Legend
  • You become a level 2 Magician and choose a second spell set same time as your first.
  • Roll a combat dice whenever a hostile spell is cast anywhere on the board, on a white shield you ignore the spell's effects and on a black shield the spell is negated before it can affect anyone, the enemy Magician loses the spell and their action, this replaces the Master skill.
  • Roll a combat dice whenever you drink a Potion, on a skull you roll one extra dice when attacking in melee until no enemy is in sight and on a white shield you roll one extra dice defence dice until you lose any BP, this replaces the Veteran skill.
