EU exclusive cards back art adapted to NA format

Discuss card making and cards you have made.

Have been my EU-to-NA card back adaptations useful for you?

Yes, thank you very much! I will use/print them in my own Hero Quest cards.

They look nice, congratulations, but I will probably use other card back designs.

I like them but I prefer the EU format look in my cards.

Well... I don't understand too much why did you do this work.

No at all, NA format style is less 'romantic' than EU one.

EU exclusive cards back art adapted to NA format

Postby HispaZargon » Tuesday June 22nd, 2021 2:31pm

Hi everybody,

I am very glad to share with the Inn’s Community several files I have been working on during much time. These files consist in my adaptations to NA format style of the original cards back art of all the EU oficial exclusive cards, mainly the ones included in EU Wizards of Morcar expansion but also the Equipment one of the EU Basic Game.

Here you can see a Low Resolution summary of all of them but, I have also uploaded High Resolution copies in the Inn's Card Back Art gallery for direct download. Enjoy…!

Some more details…:

Several years ago, I was looking for this kind of files in order to make my own complete NA version of HeroQuest, including all the expansions with the same NA art, but, except Decipher’s excellent adaptation of EU Equipment card to NA format (here), I did not have any success during searching so, one day I decided to make them by myself.

Notice that I did not own any copy of the wonderful original artwork of these cards so I was forced to ‘invent’ the picture areas hidden by the original EU banner. My photoshoping skills are limited so, I know those adaptations could be better, sure, but nowadays they are the only ones I have and I think they could be very useful for other people just as they look now, anyway, of course feel free to improve them and share the new designs.

Additionally, for those who could want to have all the cards with the same homogeneus look (like me :-)), I have also remastered all the original NA cards to exactly place their banner in the same position as the EU-to-NA adaptations I presented here. Here you can see a Low Resolution summary of all of them but, again, you can also find High Resolution copies of them in the Inn's Card Back Art gallery.

Yeah, I added them there since I think that's the correct place to be in the Inn but unfortunately it often is down.
