Yeah, totally. It's crazy though. The wording will come to me, it needs to be super simple.

Ok, im still hammering at this :|
So far it looks like this......
BlondercussFront.png

Blondercussback.png

European Cards monsters only 1 body point each.
In a single straight attack, against a monster, the Goblin, Skeleton, Zombie, Orc an Fimir dies.
Fimir and Zombie dies but can role 3 BS and destroy the weapon.
The Gargoyle, Chaos Warrior and Mummy can survive and destroy weapon.
5 guarranteed kills and 5 possible destroyers of the weapon.
And it seems more balanced to me when its weaker on side bars.

Shouldn't that be THE MIGHTY CANNON?

Lol... but it's more of a mini cannon. I'm still looking for a mini carrying one.

I see. I can't be sure if it helps, but you can find some examples at Google Images using swivel gun pirate mini for search terms.

Thank you. I've had a look. I'm hoping for more of a Dwarf, a fat 1 with a beard and a short stumpy cannon, huge girth.

I don't know where I've seen something like that. But I think I have. Look into Scibor Miniatures.
Or was it even the most recent Dwarf line from Warhammer - Aga of Sigmar?

One issue I see with the Blunderbuss is only the central room is large enough to accommodate both the full range-5 area of effect and the Hero. I'd instead go with a range of 4 squares. I feel laying a template will also run into trouble with all the figures and furniture crowding in a room together. Like the NA Chaos spell version of Lightning, my take on this artifact uses text description instead to figure the spaces affected.

.
Blunderbuss
.
This firearm allows you to roll four Attack Dice against the front target in a three-space diagonal or four-space horizontal/verticle line. Also roll three Attack Dice against front figures alongside the firing line but past the first two spaces. Excess hits continue on to the next rear figure. Discard after the third shot.
.

As with the NA Chaos spell Lightning, no template is used. The longer wording is a trade off vs. the vagaries of an angled template placed on a square grid. The resulting diagonal, horizontal, and vertical areas of targeting are shown below.

--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------
| . .* . .| . .* . .| . .* . .|. . . . . | . .* . .|. . . . . |
--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------
| . .3 . .| . .* . .| . .3 . .| . .3 . .| . .* . .| . .* . .|
--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------
|. . . . . | . .* . .|. . . . . | . .* . .| . .3 . .|. . . . . |
--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------
|. . . . . | . .4 . .| . .4 . .|. . . . . | . .3 . .| . .* . .|
--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------
|. . . . . | . :dwarf: . | . .4 . .| . .* . .| . .* . .| . .* . .|
--------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---------

The horizontal field of fire is partially blocked by a lower wall. While the diagonal field of fire has one less target square, the range is
a bit longer.

One thing I'd liked to have included were there more space would be something about walls, closed doors, and furniture blocking the line of fire. However, the line-of-sight rule for missile attacks should suffice. It also may have been cool to prohibit the Barbarian and Elf from using this artifact.

Perhaps I misunderstood the ammo note. Three buck shots with gunpowder tells me that only three uses of this artifact are possible. If I'm correct, I'd say the odds of a backfire are too remote to bother with. If you really want the backfire, why not skip the ammo part and make a 4-combat-dice attack/explosion against the Hero when 2 black shields are rolled?

Well spotted... The only thing I'd consider is moving the diagonal sides forward, giving it a little more power. Technically there wouldn't be any dead spots. The middle line of the shooter could be between the diagonal and adjacent square. Bringing the side 3's forward on the diagonal fixes this issue.

The wording is too much still.
